Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

@plasmo, I know the feeling well. Lazy = lack of motivation. Probably = depression?

Re: Night Shift

@plasmo, it feeds together in me and I end up just not doing anything at all if I don't just keep taking small steps out of it. It probably takes the most effort taking the first steps once I'm in that nothing place, then a bit of momentum builds up and I find it a bit easier. Also get more motivated because I feel a bit better from taking those steps.

Re: Night Shift

Good morning @Mazarita and @plasmo !

I'm just making my brekkie. Coffee is already going down my gullet. @plasmo bothering to cook can be a problem for one person. It just doesn't seem worth the effort a lot of the time.
At least they have a good canteen at work and cheap because we are relatively isolated.
When I've got enough money I get my main meal @ lunchtime tthen I don't have to bother too much @ night.

Hi @Mazarita
I've got to leave for work in 20 mins. Otherwise I'd be tucked up in my nice warm bed.
At least the workplace is well heated!
What have you got planned for today?
