Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

@Former-Member and @eth - oooh... thanks for the shoe tips. I wore shoes for a few hours on the recent bucks night I was on... blundstone slip-on workboots with expensive orthotic inserts custom-made for my feet in the U S of A... hahaha... my feet were killing me...

I will investigate these saviours of the sole that you two fine peeps speak of... cheers... 🙂

Morning all. Finally got 7 hours sleep WOHOO! I have found a morning spot in my new house that will suit me just fine. Unfortunately nothing like being close to nature but I can if I listen hear birds through the traffic and the light airfield nearby.

My lovely partner and I adored Mataranka @eth - one of my favourite places in all of our Australian travels...

The bats had arrived, so it was starting to get a bit pong-whiffy, but it's their planet too, and they do much to pollinate and otherwise enrich the area, so it's a pleasure sharing that lovely spot with them...

Amazing springs. So lovely...

I saw a small freshie in the creek downstream... very peaceful...

Oops posted too soon. I do most my posts through my mobile phone which is ok but too easy to hit post😬 My dog has a yard here that's fully enclosed so it's ice to sit outside and throw the ball for him. I hope this morning finds you all well or on the road to being well. 😊💜

Thanks @Silenus. Yes feeling way less cloudy today, YAY. Cyril helped me get through in the entertainment stakes yesterday and I had a quick look at the 'serenity now' clip you posted which put a smile on my dial😄 It sounds peaceful where you are and post from in the mornings. 🌿

Thanks @Silenus. The spring we go to doesn't have any where near as many bats and is smaller, but also less landscaped, wilder. I'm told by my mate who's been over 20 years here that the crocs won't come in to where the thermal springs are because of the minerals in the underground source of the water. I would totally freak if I saw one!

@Former-Member How wonderful that you slept like that. Sounds like you are appreciating your new home and your doggie is too.
