Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Just letting you know @Snuchu has popped up again on another thread. She's in hospital, but doing okay if anyone wants to send her a "hi". It's a bit harder to work on her phone, so maybe easier if we send to her till she gets the drift of it.

I am tired and aching,

my hubby said the tablet did not work today !!

we took mum for her scan , had lunch with my 2 aunties , cousin who is 50 and has cancer ( There was 7 of us for lunch

we mowed a lawn in the rain , hubby said he felt unwell all day

Hi @Faith-and-Hope thanks for your kindness. A candle would be a nice gesture. I have mixed emotions as he was unloved as a child and as an adult was capable of continuing the cycle of violence. My mother tries to blame me for his death in some strange way of twisting the reality to absolve herself of guilt.

That's really hard @Angels333, and yes, it would really complicate the emotions. I feel for you.

I have a candle on my desktop - but I am not sure how to put pics up here yet

So consider it lit - maybe @Faith-and-Hope has a candle she can post

I am sorry about your brother - if you want to talk about him - then please do - 5 years is no time at all

Sorry about the flu - darn it - this is the season - and also - you will no doubt feel worse with such an anniversary

I hope your neighbours can keep the noise down - oh man - we do not need to know their business

And discretion is the better part of valour I believe - it can go too far

When I lived in a high density area the police came to my door a day after I came back from holidays and asked me if I knew anything about an event that happened in the blcok of units next to mine - a woman had been stabbed and left to die and no one rang the police until it was too late

Perhaps I am comfortable with the police - I grew up in a police family - and it takes all kinds

In Face Book - if I made a comment - a a like was nice - esp as I have 3 first cousins I am in touch with there - but I did not think a lot about it.

However - with my computer reset - I found a message - or huge bunch of messages - all likes on what I had posted. Now I LIKED that is a huge way. Thanks everyone - it was great to get so many likes on the one day
