Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

@Shaz51 how frustrating the hearing aid must be. It's a new one isn't it?

Re: Night Shift

@Kurra I would suggest you see the doctor sooner. Then you won't have to spend 2 weeks worrying.

Hi @Decadian, thanks for the supportive message, it's much appreciated. I don't think you said too much! I know what you mean by getting embarrassed with what I've said on the forum sometimes though. Ah well, it's probably better out than in! 🙂

Hi @Shaz51, that's such a nuisance with your hearing aid. How frustrating that you have to drive all that distance and pay extra $$$, and meanwhile be without your 'extra ears'. Thinking of you.

Hi @eth, hope your chest is feeling better today. Thanks so much for the chat last night.

Hi @Kurra, hope your headache eases up really quickly. I get them too and have one today as well. Just took some pain relief for it and am having trouble keeping my eyes open on the computer screen now. Agree with @eth that it might be best to see your doctor if you can, especially since you have a history of problems that sound a little worrying. Mine may be worry related, or else they are slight recurrences of trigeminal neuralgia, which I had many years ago. The list of physical ailments over time with me is too long.

Hoping @Faith-and-Hope is going okay today.

Sending out love and hugging vibes all round.
