Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

He is almost 22 years old. My oldest son lives the other siie of the universe; East of Australia; Im in Western Australia , in Perth.

I've started writing my oldest son cards every say 7 weeks to try and start getting a bit of connection with him. 'It's easy to slacken off and forget your sons feeling once they move out of home, some even when they are lving with you.

Night night, @Angels333

Hi @Decadian...

Thank you for your thoughtful reply - I did a journal entry yesterday at Journalate about 'feeling alone'....

Sorry, I don't know you very well - are you the person who wrote the post about accepting a schizoaffective diagnosis quite a while ago?

Hi @PeppiPatty Does your eldest son write back?

Hi @Angels333 - Sorry to hear you hear you SH'ed again - Just start to be kind to yourself again...

Hi @Shaz51

My partner made a yummy tofu, spinach & mushroom lasagna (vegan) Nom Nom!

Re: Night Shift

YU MMY @Shaz51 and @Former-Member.......

You are both very welcome with coming here......please bring ingredients ok ??

Ille provide.....desert.........strawberries and cream......

How old are your children @Angels333??

No, he has'nt written back @Former-Member I am not quite sure what to do.........I guess I'lle wait for a little wile and then, write again. My original family are a bit battered and feeling it lately.......My youngest brother hasbeen writing to me; I've been working very hard to my brothers to talk together: My middle brother; clearly my Mum's favourite; just got a huge beautiful home bought for him by My Mum and she is still lying about it all and cut me off...........

It's so sad because my middle brother has had to cope with a LOT of grief in the past and I truly do not wiish him any ill will and am grateful that she did that for him but it has caused problems because she is very very nasty about me to him.

I have been getting support from my good friend and have been researching and want to send my youngest brother this information; I spoke to an astrologer and she sent me this information;

Maybe someone here might like it as well?? @Appleblossom This is what she wrote to me..........

I have found that the Chiron transits really are significant for the more spiritually aware. You might also enjoy learning about the Green mythology behind Chiron.

Hi @Shaz51

I agree with your Mum - reading is a great activity - like "one of my favourite things"

What sort of book do you like reading"
