Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

Sorry about the online bullying @Jacques it seems that with some people if you give an inch they take a mile .. Pop in and chat any time.

@Angels333 I am so glad you have made the week ... it is huge because it is a break in the pattern. Sorry about the gallstones. They are supposed to be very painful. You have a lot on your plate.

@eth Thanks for mentioning that about docs. I will stay in this clinic. It is new and very close to home. I need continuity as my health issues sometimes have me dealing with stigma. Not my feeling. One doctor actually apologised about what one doctor had written on my file about drug use from 35 years ago ... just a fact. I didnt really know but the previous doctor was always challenging me. Dont they think I had enough challenges? How about a handshake for getting off dope .. never mind ..

@Polly48 and @Shaz51 hope the night goes well.

@Former-Member Enjoy the rest. Dinner time will come soon enough.

Re: Night Shift

Oh well @Appleblossom, not everyone can like you, i suppose we just had a personality clash, that's all, i just wish people would not use my MI against me, i can handle being called names, stuff said about my family, but when someone uses my illness against me, i felt so ashamed the others heard it, they all felt sorry for me which made things way worse, it made me so self conscious of my own frailties.

I have missed you my vritual mum, i was so happy to hear you have your license back, remember just because you have it does not mean you need to use it.

i hope you are feeling better and less exhausted tonight, i worry about you, i know you have a lot on your plate.

hugs

Jacques

oh no good @Angels333 I hope that you get some rest tonight, i've heard how bad gall stones are... yes i know how you feel about telling them the meds list... and unfortunately not all drs are equal... i couldnt get into see my usual GP (at my normal clinic and everything once) and he refused to prescribe me the full dosage of what my psychiatrist and GP write for my scripts because he didnt agree with it! Just needed a script!!! doh! oh well! hope you were treated well!

Wow! @Former-Member

Refusing a dose, that's terrible, you wouldn't hokd back insulin for a diabetic.

Thanks for your support, these pains are terrible.
