Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

😞 my washing machine just died. The universe is against me! I'm impossibly stupidly upset over it but it's just one more thing that is going to cost money I don't have and time and money going to the washing place that I don't have I would really like to just run away from life and all its responsibilities! Gah

Sigh rant over

Oh No @Former-Member, gosgh you poor thing, it never rains but it pours, do you have a laundromat near by? gosh @Former-Member, i know the feeling well, everytime i thought things could not get any worse they seem to have a way of pushing us to our limits.

Please try to see things differently, you have a roof over your head and food in your tummys, that is all that matters, maybe lookup a phone book or google maps to find your nearest laundromat.

I completely understand!! I would feel the same way! I hope you can afford a new one soon! Laundromats can actually be quite expensive ~ sometimes we use them, because the washing machine belongs to the alcoholic (Partner's mum owns entire farm & almost everything else!) ~ anyhow, we both don't like taking a basket of washing through the house if he is there ~ so sometimes it piles up! I can imagine with kids there would be lots of washing to do, but then again the clothes are smaller! Anyhow, sometimes life is like that for us too ~ just seems to be bad luck after bad luck.... You are allowed to be upset! *fingers crossed* for some good luck for you (& us all while I'm at it!)

I injured my back a bit with one of the asanas I did at yoga yesterday ~ my partner gave me a quick massage just now (he worked as a masseur years ago, but now he has rsi in his wrist he can't give me long massages...) I'm going to take an anti-inflammatory with dinner ~ I think that will fix it!

I've been reading a novel this afternoon....

Thank you @Jacques and @Former-Member 😞 I know it's an overreaction but I feel like everything I need to do just got 10 times harder! Aghhh
@BamBam it's not a very old machine as I only got it about a year ago I think or just over a year ago.. I'm hoping it wil b a warranty thing ! im not sure about the universe but no higher power seems ready to help out in our lives here it's just one thing after another

How has your morning gone? Have you managed to have a special breakfast or some sort of treat? 😄 I made chocolate croissants *as in heated up croissants and spread nutella inside lol, for our breakfast. My kids have been up since crazy hour and hyped up on sugar. Weather isnt looking good but we might get to the playground for a bit before it rains to let out some of the hyped up sugar craze!
