Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

@Shaz51 my spare time at the moment is spent working on my autobiography (my experiences with mental illness). Hope to have my first draft done by the end of the year 😊

@Shaz51 Going well. It's been quite a journey just writing it 😉 I read a chapter out at a writers group I go to, to get feedback on structure and how it sounds to a reader. They have been very interested in my story. Some of them have even taken me aside to tell me about someone in their family who has a mental illness or it is themselves who can relate to my story. Already my book is educating people and is not yet finished. The power of the pen us still alive today 😉

@Jacques, you say lovely things, thank you. Today I walked to the polling booth and back, about 20-30 minutes. Hoping for the beach walk tomorrow. Quitting is going okay. Final date for abstinence from green is 6 April. After that, no more. Then I'll be working harder on the tobacco. Averaging 8 a day of them at present. Thanks again for being kind.

Oh that is good, you are so lucky to be able to walk on the beach. gosh @Mazarita, you only have 2 weeks, i am so proud of you, you have done so well, the strength, courage and more importantly will power you show is astounding. you know i am cheering you on right?

I hope you can kick the ciggies, you will always have cravings, but they do lessen, i was so close to lighting up again a few days ago. but i was able to resist the temptation.

You are more than welcome, everyone deserves nice things 🙂
