Night Shift

Night Shift

Since I am awake at 4am I thought I'd start this thread for those of us who have trouble sleeping and might find it helpful to have a place to go to chat. Whatever gets you through the night is alright.

To get the ball rolling, I'll just say that I enjoyed being part of the Topic Tuesday discussion tonight. I wish it was possible for these events to be weekly rather than monthly. Either way, thanks SANE and all the people I've met on here over recent months.

Edited June 2016 and February 2017: Night Shift is now open 24 hours a day. To join in, just click through to the last page of the thread at the top right of this post to get to the latest message.

Edited April 2017 and June 2017: For the sake of better communications between members here, I am adding that this thread is meant to be a caring, kind and gentle place of sharing. Humour is welcome, as long as its not unkindly directed towards other members. Hope your time in this chat thread is rewarding.

Re: Night Shift

WOW @Mazarita, that's awesome about the film, best of luck with it. I seem to miss catching up in a lot of threads, though this one seems to have had a shift change from night to day.

Chocolate & ice cream, great combination for my diabetes lol.

Hope you had a better afternoon @Former-Member & are maybe feeling a little better by now. As @Shaz51 is doing, a rest day is always good. Hope it was relaxing @Shaz51.

Have a good rest @PeppiPatty, wish I could. No sleep at all last night. Managed to doze for a couple of hours today but not enough. Hopefully I can get a fuller night tonight because I need to get out and do some walking. Tomorrow looks like it may be a good day to do it. Been very slack on exercising this week.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday evening. Take care.

Re: Night Shift

Hi, I have just joined the forums. Once again I cannot sleep as my husband has wandered off again. He was a provisional dx of bipolar. He has not sought help from a psychiatrist and has not seen his psychologist since the provisional dx. He wanders all the time, I have no idea if he will return in a few minutes or days. What do I do??? Has anyone else here dealt with someone who wanders aimlessly?

    Content/trigger warning

Hi their @Tiredandsad, my name is Jacques, it is great you have come to the forums, I have an aunt who does that, does your hubby take meds for his bpd ? If you are concerned for his safety tonight maybe call the police, or call lifeline they will be able to answer you better. the number is 13 11 14 I hope this helps.

maybe you could gently encourage him to seek help, try to support him to get better, and make sure you care for yourself too.

Take care, good luck

Jacques
