LOST

LOST

I feel like I've been chained to the bottom of the darkest pit since before the umbilical cord was cut. There seems no point climbing out, as I'll fall straight back down. Small steps are too hard and days and nights just merge together in an endless struggle. Even finding the right words is impossible. My fur baby is my lifeline, but right now I believe she deserves better, more than I can give her. There's no where to find comfort or belonging. Worse than hopeless, worse than dispare. Just lost.

Re: LOST

@Former-Member Yes my social worker did come and once again a boat was needed for the tears. Her honest words are she believes in me, even when I can't. She has always been honest. We went to Bunnings and she bought me a drill for Christmas. She's away on holidays now for a month and thought I would like the curtains up before she returns. Hummmm, sometimes more is not good, specially little holes. I'll get the hang of it, eventually, I hope!!!!!!

Thankyou for being here, it's such a mess in my head atm and I feel to blame for everything that goes wrong, childhood training, you'd think I'd be over it by now!!!!!

I just saw a bull dog on better homes and gardens. He surf boarded, skied on water and on the road. What amazing things they do when they are given time. I'm off for a shower, I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. I know adjusting to your daughter being gone will take time and grief like depression, might come in waves, try to ride the wave. A warm hug back. Go gently .

Re: LOST

Hi @Maggie

Your social worker does believe in you - that is why she goes the extra mile for you. I believe in you too - you are a very special lady that has a heavy load. But one I would like to help you carry. Lean on me too 🌹

You sound much handier than I am - I think it's good to challenge ourselves to learn new skills, helps to build more confidence and a sense of achievement. You will get there - just try not to miss the curtain rods, you could become a lethal weapon with that drill lol 😂.

Childhood scars can run deep - the good thing is you are aware. Once we are aware we can tell blame and guilt to go take a jump. We can only do our best, and when done with love it's more than enough 😊 You can believe in yourself @Maggie.

Day one after daughter's move I survived. I threw myself into my stitching - sewed for about 5 hrs straight. It was peaceful stitching whilst looking out my huge window at the rain covering the lush greeeney. Very serene.

You are wise @Maggie - grief does come in waves. I am so grateful I have your friendship to help see me through. Thank you 🌹You are valued by me and many...Not sure what tomorrow will bring but the comfort is I do believe my daughter loves me and one day I may get her back - the loving happy daughter she once was. That would be good for us both. Sweet dreams @Maggie 💕xx

Re: LOST

@Former-Member You might be amazed with your daughter. Now she has moved out she might look back at all you have taught her with appreciation, just takes time, that's the hard part. Your stitching yesterday sounds like the best thing you could have done, what does today hold.

I learned to be practical while married, thought my ex was very capable and smart, it was something he showed the outside world, I couldn't get him to do a thing at home. So, I was all that was left to do things, and I enjoy a challenge, a drill is another thing though. Lol.

I didn't make it to the shower last night so I'm heading there now after my coffee. Warm hugs to you.

Re: LOST

Hi @Maggie

How are you feeling this evening? Hope it is a relaxing one. I believe you are right about my daughter - she will see what I have been trying to say all these years and look back with appreciation. That's the plan anyway - she couldn't, we couldn't go on the way we were.

I saw her down the shops this afternoon - she looked so tired. I don't think she is eating properly. So I have been in the kitchen since I came back home making her fresh homemade vegetable samosas with Greek yoghurt and mint sauce, salads, wraps and vanilla slices for her to freeze for a few days and eat when she needs it. Also have a box of groceries for her. She is not good yet at looking after her basic health and if that goes done so will her mental health. I worry about her cat too whom was a beautiful affectionate feline. So I am still worrying about her.

I will drop all the food in tomorrow as we pick her up to share our wedding anniversary lunch all together (I get too tired by evening). I asked my daughter to join us. We are having this at the ocean golf resort we will be building at. So hopefully some good memories will be made. I love my daughter but am already feeling the pressure lift from my mind since she has moved. The stress was getting too much. At the same time I will always be there for her and miss her. It's a mixed bag....

I like a challenge too. Did you do anymore drilling today? Do you have any plans for tomorrow? Hope this post finds you well my friend and your emotional pain has eased somewhat. I am always thinking of you my forever friend 💕

Re: LOST

@Former-Member Yes I did do some drilling today. OMG how exhausting can it be to put in 12 screws and three curtain poles. Every bone in my body aches and I was deserted by my little companion because of MY bad behaviour. The dam things are up and at this present moment I hate them. Lol. I've had a shower and have to lie down my head is throbbing

Your mothers heart is showing through with your daughter and I think she will see that when you deliver the food you've prepared tomorrow. Planning some fun things together once she settles might be good for both of you and a good chance to catch up.

Sorry but I have to go my body is in rebellion and my mind is beginning to freeze. I hope you have a good evening whatever you do. Warm thoughts.💓💓💓

Re: LOST

Oh @Maggie hahahaha - you made me laugh. I am glad the damn things are up aha. With a few curse words thrown in I could imagine (I let a few fly in the kitchen 😫). You must be feeling a bit like me - there's a song about that, I think it goes "aching all over"! I have been on my feet cooking for about 5 hours this evening. I am off food for life and never want to see a kitchen again! My daughter will hear me screaming from here if she wastes it!!!

Yes, I think some good times together would be nice. It will be very hard for her on the outside world, there she will learn also not to blow her money and be more responsible. You are right, it will take time and that is the hard part to watch. It's seems most of our lives we are learning not only to survive but reach our full potential. Now for my body to catch up to my spirit.....

Hope you have a chance to rest up and are aching less now. I have just put mine up, what a luxury! Will let you know how the dinner goes tomorrow. Sweet dreams my friend xxx

Re: LOST

@Former-Member Happy anniversary for tomorrow. 5 hours in the kitchen, woman you are a saint. I loath cooking. The second year in the convent was spent there. One whole year. That alone got me through nursing because if I failed, that was my calling. You say your daughter can hear you screaming, all I can say is she had better enjoy every mouth full. I'm hoping you are resting. I'm flat out like a lizard in bed wishing I could sleep, but the rest is good. I reckon the two of us made paint peal off the walls today, my neighbour has a small child who I reckon might have a few new words in her vocabulary today. Good night, enjoy tomorrow and we'll done. 💛💛💛

Re: LOST

Thank you @Maggie

The day was a real hit. We all had a good time and lots of laughs. It was the first time in years that we all connected in such a positive way. My daughter use to be very tense and angry when she ever came out with us these last few years; today was totally different - she has really improved and is wonderful to see. A very memorable day and wonderful start to our soon to be new home/area. I think the tide has finally turned. I have suffered everyday for thirteen years straight, so it is a very welcomed balance and has taught me to never give up. Now for husband's health issues to be sorted and we will be well on our way.....😊

Daughter and her flat mate were happy with the food. My vanilla slices and Indian samosas and sauce were a hit! So it was well worth the effort. I actually loathe cooking too, but it was worth it to see her smile.

Her flatmate is overwhelmed by all her things, so I am going around on Tuesday to help her hang up her clothes, tidy up and throw out what she doesn't need. I will have her organised and then it's up to her to keep it up. Fingers cross as she has to learn to be tidier. It's a good arrangement and I am hoping it will last. We are all happier this way.

How are you feeling today? Have you recovered from yesterday? It will be all worth it when you see the curtains all hung and looking lovely. It will be a good feeling. I will try and get a picture up of my hand dyed fabric, threads, metallics and beads for my next cross stitch project - "Mermaids of The Deep Blue", as I will be starting her soon.

Thanks for being there and for being such a good friend. Means alot to me. I wish I could share with you one of my vanilla slices. Took a picture of them for you below instead. So enjoy our talks 😊🤗💕xx

Re: LOST

@Former-Member Thankyou, I love custard slices. Looks like you did a good job with them also. I'm happy for you and your daughter, this is a huge corner for both of you, emphasis on the corner, sometimes you can't see round but once your done the curve it makes sense. I'm hoping you make many new memories now things are better for all of you. Next it your husbands appointments and the waiting game.

I found a fusher can't spell it, and spell check isn't helping which means it's really spelt wrong. Anyway, the ballerina type plant. I picked one up in a garage sale for $5. It's an old fashioned one purple and white, also a yellow pig face also for $5 so I'm really happy. Just planted them in my garden. I've moved back to my taking the plunge thread trying to leave lost behind, trying anything atm as I've come to a grinding halt in activity, the body refuses to go any further. Sending warm wishes your way.💖💖💖

A good morning to you my friend @Maggie

I was just about to write a post to you when I received notification of your post! So we were thinking of each other at the same time. That happens with close friends. Sometimes myself and husband think and say at the same time a thought, idea or sentence. Spooky haha.

I will admit I am nervous about my husband's upcoming appts and what they may say. We are hoping he does not have to have any surgery as his body has had enough of them for awhile - it really knocks him around. I will be glad when the next few weeks are over - I will have had time to adjust by then hopefully. Health is wealth. I am glad you are there.

Ahh fuschias -one of my all time favourite plants (I like the name fusher better - haha, you are a treasure). I use to grow them on the farm down South. I think (not sure) they only grow in cold climates? I wonder if they grow in temperate ones too - although we can get some high humidity and temps here now, not to mention the sea salt and sand when I move. Don't think I will have much luck there with them. It will look beautiful in your garden @Maggie. Is it a standard, hanging or shrub? We have pig face here too - I have never seen a yellow one, wow. That would be beautiful and a cheery colour. We have pink, Orange and red here.

I was pleased with my vanilla slices - although I didn't mean for the pics to turn out so big! Sorry 😐

I will copy this in your Taking the Plunge thread so you can leave this one behind as you wish. Sorry also to read that your body has come to a grinding halt and you are not active presently. Is this due to physical pain my friend or emotional? I am going to do some cross stitch today for balance as I have been out the last two days. Hope you are okaish. Thinking of you 💕

P.S Was just about to post this in your other thread but decided to leave it here as the last for this thread as you have a conversation going that I don't want to interrupt. You don't need to answer as I understand. Take care my friend
