I chose my Nic name Bella not because I think I'm beautiful. I chose it because my rescent boyfriend is a singer/songwritter he calls me Bella, he even wrote me a song. "My Aussie Bella", it is such an honour & I'm very flattered that he did that for me. He lives in Florida USA & I have never met him in person. We talk via phone on a regular basis,or via Internet, & he is very complex. He has a Mental Illness & he doesnt believe he does? I try to be supportive & caring towards him, as his family treat him like a freak.

We have been friends for 4 years, he is very talented & I love to listen to him singing, & playing his guitar. He can play many different musical instruments, & he is very intelligent & writes so many wonderful songs. He & I have at times a very unique friendship, even tho we may never met in person?

What ever will be, will be!

i picked my avatar name for 2 reasons. One was because of the tv and book series but also because at the time i felt like a complete outsider. Someone who is completely out of sorts here. Someone who didnt fit in. But i like the tv series outlander and since having this name others have adopted the name claire for me. @Former-Member started that though so the credit goes to her for calling me Claire

Certainly the name @outlander says a lot about your place in life atm - and it fits I guess - I have seen you as an outsider in your real world but here - I think the name Claire fits your persona here - so yes - I just might start calling you Claire as well

The name "Claire" means bright, shining, clear and comes from Latin and Greek - and I have always liked that name

I have not watched Outlander on TV and watching the DVDs where I shop to starting to watch it from the beginning - but realy - both names suit you right now - I like the idea of seeing you move more into "Claire" as time passes

It seems our avatar names do same something about us

You are right @Bunniekins - we do need to see the bad before we can appreciate the good - and both have a wide variations of being in our lives

I like telling about Random Moments of Human Kindness as you experienced when a man tipped his hat to you - small thing but it made you feel like a lady

Today I was crossing a busy street on my crutches - still having to work hard with them - and I was on an island in the middle and a man in a van of some kind stopped for me to cross the rest of the road - holding up a few other cars

I really appreciated that

We could have a thread to mention those moments also - that's a good idea

Shaz seems to be one of a variety of names originating from Sharon which was an extremely popular name for girls at the end of the C19th - and means "A Fertile Plain"

It appears in the Bible as "Flower of Sharon" - and in John Steinbeck's novel The Grapes of Wrath as Rose of Sharon - and to me that is a beautiful name

I hope this helps - there is nothing for Shaz but I think I have known several girls or women whose name was Sharon called Shaz

Hi Niqua

I have looked and can't tell you much about your name - but Niqua or Niquette can be a boy or girls name in some parts of the world - don't feel bad about that - my real name can be either too - something I really like actually

From my own knowledge of names though I think Niqua could be linked to Nicholas which means Victory to the People - pretty powerful name truly
