Tell Us About Your Avatar

Due to anonymity reasons, we can't have our face as our profile pic. I was wondering tonight about all the different pics I have seen on this Forum and the story behind them.

Some of you like me have animals. Maybe they are your pets. Others have inspirational sayings. There are ones with scenes on them and others that feature flowers or abstract designs.

My pic stems from my fascination with jellyfish. I love going to those huge aquarium places and watching the jellyfish. They are so serene and beautiful and make me feel calm. If I lived in a town that had a jellyfish display, I'd be there every week. Sometimes I watch videos of them. I use the good feelings I get from seeing them to lift my mood so each time I am on the Forum I am reminded of the beauty in the world and the peacefulness of their movements.

I hope you enjoy my pic half as much as I do.

I'll tag some people to encourage them to share their story. Please tag others so we can all participate easily.

OK EVERYONE, (TOO MANY TO TAG)

I changed my avatar photo.

It still is along the same lines, a tree by itself, but it represents something different

I love the quietness of the field and sitting there pondering life. The sunrise represent a new day, new hope, new dreams and new challenges that I can face head on.

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

Yes @soul, my old avatars have been a laughing or crying QE2. I might yet return to my old ways yet and that means you'll all see the monarch's face again.

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

That is a gorgeous rose @Former-Member. I tried to grow them once but wasn’t too successful. Do you have any in your garden?

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

Beautiful pic @Former-Member. Great choice. I love sunrises for all those reasons you mentioned. When there are so many uncertainties in life, we can always count on the sun to rise every day even if sometimes it’s behind a cloud.

Theres a beautiful glow in that pic too. Hope you have light like that inside of you.

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

Thanks @soul. I was in a better frame of mind when I picked this avatar.

I am not sure if I have that light inside of me anymore, but it is something I am fighting for

Re: Tell Us About Your Avatar

No roses in my garden, unfortunately @soul
Had small white rose bush many years ago, but I don't have the energy to look after a garden. I was able to pot some flowers not so long ago. Mostly cuttings as they seem to survive better than ones I buy.
So far they're alive. 😀
Except the yellow flowers I bought. 😮
