Tell Us About Your Avatar

Due to anonymity reasons, we can't have our face as our profile pic. I was wondering tonight about all the different pics I have seen on this Forum and the story behind them.

Some of you like me have animals. Maybe they are your pets. Others have inspirational sayings. There are ones with scenes on them and others that feature flowers or abstract designs.

My pic stems from my fascination with jellyfish. I love going to those huge aquarium places and watching the jellyfish. They are so serene and beautiful and make me feel calm. If I lived in a town that had a jellyfish display, I'd be there every week. Sometimes I watch videos of them. I use the good feelings I get from seeing them to lift my mood so each time I am on the Forum I am reminded of the beauty in the world and the peacefulness of their movements.

I hope you enjoy my pic half as much as I do.

@MDT It was so scarey ... I went to see it at the movies with a friend and told my ex husband about it (you are right it was artistic but the gore ...) and you know what he did he bought me a dvd of it! It has stayed in the cupboard in its original wrapping never to be opened.

Love Game of Thrones, despite the gorey bits.

I'm rewatching all the episodes again because there were heaps of bits I missed. So now I know where the dragons came from! Love the dragons!!!!

The story of my current avatar is as follows. I found a lovely design I liked. It was intricate and flowing and I really liked it. It looks very different to my avatar now though. It was too bright and clear for how I was feeling so I attacked it in a photo app by changing the saturation, darkness and putting a colour wash over it....in purple ( the colour that gives me comfort). As I step towards recovery and feel better about myself I intend to lighten it until it is back to its original design. Over thinking it.....yep of course. @Faith-and-Hope, @Former-Member since you asked so nicely. 😜😘💜🤗😊

My avatar isn't something too special.
My favourite colour is red, and centaurs are my favourite mythical creatures.
For me centaurs represent strength and tenacity. They are bold and willing to fight for what they believe in.
I chose this specific image because I'm fighting for my recovery. I've been through a lot but I'm still willing to keep going.
