Yes, it really helped me to move away from my mother dear @Bubbles3. She was meant to be my paid Carer and visit me everyday for a few hours. She was actually doing the wrong thing and ignoring me and only visiting me once a month. And I felt very uncomfortable around her and could not trust her, because she had said hurtful things to me in the past, and I being Christian had never hurt her. My mother who was verbally abusive would project all the blame on to me, and blame my illness on everything and arguments, when she had abused me and I was the innocent party and said nothing hurtful back to her. And sadly I had to relinquish care of my child due to illness after I'd won custody with the Psychiatrist, (I'd had custody for 5 years and been a good mother my friend said)not abuse, but my mother told my Auntie that ' she was fighting me for custody. And that's when my mother was faxing my Psychiatrist and lying about my symptoms and embellishing them. My diagnosis was a typical psychosis and not enough symptoms to warrant the diagnosis of schizophrenia and she had it changed to paranoid schizophrenia. But my psychologist did a state mental exam and said there is no paranoia or delusions or psychosis in me. Whether it's mild schizophrenia or a typical and not schizophrenia, my mother had no right to lie about my symptoms so to make things more serious and take my child from me. To this day, I've only had 3 phonecalls from my daughter from the age of 7-17. My mother did not encourage my daughter to call me or see me, in fact she disparaged me to my daughter and tried to drive a wedge between my daughter and I and alienate her from me. I've been discharged from the Govt. psychiatrist as in remission of paranoid schizophrenia, but my mother refuses to believe anything good about me and puts me down for having a mental illness.
The best thing I did was move away from my mother who ignored me and verbally abusedme and started quarrels. I now have the church as my family and my christian friends are my brothers and sisters in Christ. I am very discerning what company I keep, as it says in scripture ' keep good company only' and ' bad company corrupts morals. I'm so happy I made the decision to move away from my mother, who isn't here for me. She still won't reply to my e-mail letters or texts and has sent me abusive e-mails and my solicitor said she is ' vicious'. I have peace of mind now and I'm around people who I choose to be around that would never hurt me with words like my mother or ignore me. Ya stick to people who are supportive of year dear beautiful @Bubbles3, and put your healthy boundaries in place with your mother. I'm so happy, I'm free from my quarrelsome mother. Also ignoring and isolating is a form of psychological abuse and something my mother did to me. You need people who are good to you and attentive and care around you. Take good care dear beautiful bubbles.
