Re: Taking the plunge

No garden @CheerBear . My BIG plans days ago, ended in a ‘ look and maybe not today’ effort. My great achievement lately is, ‘ there’s alway tomorrow ‘. 😀😀

Wow to you and Big. I’m not surprised though. It sounds amazing and full of memories. I went to a quilters exhibition once. OMG. One was over 100 years old. Hand stitched. They used to use bits and pieces of wedding dresses etc. a different kind of photo album. So beautiful. I can feel how proud Big feels, and you. 👍👍

No, I don’t know pass the pig. A giant inflatable version. 🤔🤔 Piggy in the middle I know well. 😂😂

Thinking it will help is all that matters @TheVorticon. I really hope it helps ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

Getting by knowing you can try again tomorrow is an achievement @Maggie, I agree ❤

How awesome to have seen that! Its a beautiful craft and one I've always 🤤 over but never quite made it further than that. I'm thrilled for Big to see how much enjoyment is being found behind the colours of the fabrics and the machine Subject selection for next year has just happened (if they stay at the same school). Its their first time picking subjects so a very exciting time. Textiles was a choice. This one has big plans to create unique clothes 😁 I wish I could show you some of the cool things they all make.

The pigs are very funny. You toss tiny little pigs then score depending on how they land. The inflatables are huge.

Today is a cleaning day for me and online groceries. Our postcode is too high on the list of cases and people here are bonkers at the shops, so online it is for me. Expecting tightened restrictions today or tomorrow. Hard to imagine what's left to restrict really :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Re: Taking the plunge

I must admit @CheerBear i had the same thoughts, what more it there to restrict. I really am sorry you are right in the middle of this.

Oh gosh, we never had subjects like that at school. It’s soo important to flow with nature talent. I can’t even imagine knowing what Big knows at her age, we are evolving @CheerBear

Mundane cleaning and online shopping. I changed to Woolworths as Coles kept dropping offline. Overall, a better experience for me.

I’ll look up little pig games @CheerBear , it sounds like fun. A bit like jacks, but not quite. You caught them on the back of your hand. If you had a bigger hand, you were a winner.

Re: Taking the plunge

Its the emotional and mental toll that's getting me/us here now I guess @Maggie. So many have it worse though. Upset call from sib yesterday who has been assigned the covid+ section of the facility they work at. Each day seeing and working with people who likely won't make it because of their vulnerability. Sib being exposed themselves. A cycle of being tested, taking time off for results, going back and doing it all again. It's super 😔 We're all anxious waiting to hear what's next.

We had some cool subjects at school but I was at a very very old school school where some classes were for boys and some for girls. I don't know how that passed not really all that long ago 😮😖 The subjects Big can choose are amazing. Leadership, climate, technology, environment, performing arts... it goes on and on and on. There's so much hope in this generation, I think anyway 😍

Glad you are having a better experience with Woolies. I'm a creature of habit so even though I've been fluffed around by Coles online, I know the system which makes it easier for me.

I remember Jacks. We had knuckles which I think are the same. I had a set that I think I still have in a box somewhere as I loved them. Bright coloured plastic, each with a really silly cartoon face on them, in a bright orange and blue stripey bag. Funny the things you remember.

I better fly and start the housework. There's plenty to do thanks to ignoring it all hoping the fairies will get to it :face_with_rolling_eyes: It never happens 🤣

Mega love to you @Maggie, and to all here. You all make the world more doable ❤🌈🧚‍♀️

@CheerBear Dropping off a strong one this morning, or maybe two. ☕️☕️☕️💙💙💙

I heard the stage 4 restrictions yesterday, and I thought of you. I don’t know if this puts extra pressure on sib now, but all round, it’s tough. I really am sorry.

Today is a work day, some challenges there too. Sending lots of 💕💕💕

@eth @NatureLover @TheVorticon @Former-Member and anyone passing. I hope there is good in today. 💙💙💙💙☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie and hi everyone ❤

I felt the big blow of it Maggie, like everyone here did. Thanks for your thoughts.

I woke to only half a grocery order sitting outside and an email saying half couldn't be delivered as there was no stock. Things like eggs, vegetables, fruit, rolls - all cancelled. Basics 🙁

How are you going? Did you kick ass yesterday?

In response to: Re: Taking the plunge

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I saw pics of empty shelves. That really is hard and discouraging. It’s all so big and seems endless. Big 💙💙💙

I did kick ass yesterday. Made and painting stones. I will be kicking again today, as I have cleaning help. Another new person. If they don’t have a permanent person by the end of the month, I will cancel till they do. It’s to stressful. I don’t understand why it is taking this long for a replacement.

How are you feeling about work today ?
