Re: Taking the plunge

🙁 What's behind the wobbles @Maggie? If you're up for sharing I'm listening. Glad counsellor brought some relief.

A little wobbly here too but relief found, helped by my psych yesterday. Lots playing in to wobbles. Mine are little waves, ripples maybe, compared what they can be and have been.

Sewing is helping me lots. I made a block pattern that actually works and looks pretty cool I think. They're for a quilt for Middle while I waited for my fabric to arrive. Big is making one too and it's looking awesome. She's a natural at sewing I think. We won't be going to a craft shop any time soon so for now they'll have to stay as quilt tops while we order the insides and backs. Patience - not a strength of mine.

Is anything helping you through it?

Thanks @CheerBear and good to see you.

Both @CheerBear and @Maggie sorry that things are on a wobble for you.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear It’s a continuing church ouch. Wait for my next episode. A young man arrived at my door last Sunday, asking how I was coping with the bug etc. casual stuff, then he asked if I knew Jesus. I said, yea, we’re good mates. And through my locked screen door we shared. He then said he would come back next week, and I thought, yea, sure.

Well he came back, and asked to come in for a cuppa, and ( OMG), I let him in. Nothing happened, but my mind is everywhere as to what could have happened. I never let my guard down like that, counsellor is suspicious, as I have no ID or or or, just a bloke. 😂😂😂😥😥🥵🥵 I think I’m a tad psychotic now. I don’t know what I feel, apart from scared. With no legitimate reason, but every reason.

Sounding like a crazy woman to you. .?

So pleased your psych helped with the little waves and ripples @CheerBear , I’m guessing there might have been some dumpers mixed in, but I might be wrong.

Super exciting about the sewing. 👍👍👍 you and Big will be smiling I reckon. 😁😁

Thanks @TheVorticon . It means a lot, knowing how tough things are for you atm, and you feel for us, shows your specialness, but I don’t think you’ll see that today. But we do. 💕💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge

I won't make a big deal out of seeing you post a heart @TheVorticon, but I did smile a lot 😊😎

Oh @Maggie that's big. You don't sound crazy at all. Muddled maybe, and totally understandable, but not crazy. Did he come from the same church or was he a complete random? I am glad nothing happened, so glad, but now its scary and I hear that 🙁 Do you have an idea of how you'll approach it if he comes back again?

Yeah some big ones but nothing that kept me under for long. Work is tough and that's wobbly. Mr Person is better but now I am feeling the aftershock. The bug is awful.

Fabric is good 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge

No, @CheerBear a complete stranger. Yes, my door will be locked next time, if I answer. It’s tricky, as I want to believe he’s legitimate, and might well be. I might invite him round when counsellor is here, or not, I have no idea, my brain is on holiday.

You are riding the waves @CheerBear , that made me smile. Nothing that kept you under for long.

Sorry work is tough and wobbly. Aftershock from Mr Person is very understandable . Listen to you. Yes, the bug is more awful than imaginable, it’s only a matter of time when we all understand what your area already knows. Our world, as we knew it, has changed.

So glad you have fabric. Anything that turns on that light switch. 👍💙💕💙💕💙

Re: Taking the plunge

Having him over with counsellor if he comes again and if it can be organised is a really good idea @Maggie. I hope your brain has gone somewhere nice on holiday. Somewhere not too cold and not too hot, with green and water and peace and calm. I wonder if I could send mine on a holiday to join yours 🤔❤

The bug... 😔 Hope of normal life soon is slipping quickly. Hope of seeing our people again soon is no longer there. Sib and I talk lots now about how lucky we feel to have each other at the moment. Sib makes it bearable. I'd feel so lost and disconnected without family more grown up than the crew here.

I found this article which really moved me as it seemed to fit the way we are feeling: https://amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/jul/30/every-day-melbourne-wakes-and-waits-for-the-news-its-worse-this-time?__twitter_impression=true

No need to read it but if you're interested it's there. I really hope it's not a matter of time for others. I hope other places are learning from this.

Anyway. Thank you for listening ❤

Have you been arting or crafting over the last couple of days?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I just read the article. So so sad. It’s hard to know where to from here.

We really are not made for this. My heart goes out to your area. The numbers climbing, and more and more restrictions loom. What can anyone do. Waiting is driving everyone crazy. Big 💙💙💙💙💙

I would like my brain to go on holiday with your @CheerBear . We could talk and dream crafts day and night. My brain has not found calm, unfortunately. Once it gets ammunition, it goes very strange.

Ive tried arting and crafting these days @CheerBear , but the well is dry atm. It will come back.

I hope you are doing ok. I’m doing a bit of a catch up atm. 💙💙☕️☕️💕💕

So sorry to read about your very wobbly slippery slide. 😞 My rejection by the church (and God, as I saw it) took me 3 years to get over, and there are still many lingering feelings. That's probably not at all encouraging, sorry... But it means that I understand what a big deal it is, and I feel for you as you process it all.

I'm doing OK at the moment, thanks.

I hope your "arting and crafting" comes back soon for you. @Maggie

Re: Taking the plunge

It took me 15 years to try again @NatureLover . I too saw it as Gods rejection, but have sorted that one out, sometimes anyway. Thankyou for your understanding, though it comes with a great price. I am so so sorry, for you, me and so many others.

I’m glad you are doing ok at the moment. Take care of yourself. 💙💙💙💙
