Re: Taking the plunge
I had a super hard conversation with Mr Person late into the night. I need him to look after himself more than he is, and I guess to be more proactive about stuff. I am a "get :pile_of_poo: done" person and I am realising I struggle when others I am close with are not so much like that. And my limit for give and care is at capacity, in lots of ways. I am emptying my cup.
Oh I am a bit dark and twisty today, sorry. I haven't had one of these kinds of days for a while :face_with_rolling_eyes:
I am sorry you're having to wait as long as you are, and keep trying to hold hope when it seems like there isn't much to hope for as far as that goes. I wish there was a way to make that better for you 🙁
How is your today looking?

Re: Taking the plunge
I don’t think you are dark and twisted @CheerBear. The reality of a second wave is worse than awful. And the do not interact stuff is fear based, as is panic buying etc. survival instinct kicking in, when we no longer live in caves, ( mostly), or go hunting. I was really shocked seeing empty shelves again, and so soon.
Emptying your cup sounds tricky @CheerBear , but realising it , is a big positive. Mr Person is an adult, you are not responsible for or to him. It’s hard though, specially when you are a giver. But it is give and take, I’m learning that lesson late in life, but a one sided relationship ( not that I’m suggesting it is), never seems to work.
I know now you have a tricky day this week too. It really affects so many other things. Try to do something really special for you today. 🙏🙏
I have a half painted stone, so I might finish that. Hoping to hear from the plumber, but not sure. Quite kind of day here.

Re: Taking the plunge
Mr Person is an adult and so much of me needs him to adult in ways he isn't at the moment. I see it comes from being in a really toxic relationship and I get that the trauma of that messes with all kinds of things, including the ability to get :pile_of_poo: done. But I am someone who fights the wrong and fights the systems that make the wrong wrong-er, and he isn't. He wishes it was different. Wishing doesn't get it done though. But it isn't right for me to put that on him. It isn't right for me to tell him, or anyone, to fight. And why would I encourage a he person to fight, especially not when a fighting he person has been behind so much of my own damage. Far out why do things have to be so complicated and messy 😔
I am reluctantly hitting post as a venty spill, then starting my day. Parent, student, teacher interviews this morning, via the phone because we can't meet in person. Coronavirus can go away now please.
Thank you for listening Maggie. Sorry for the vent. I really hope your quiet day is good for you. I am looking forward to seeing painting if you share ❤

Just a quick reply, as I know you are heading into a busy day @CheerBear
I think the fighting you are talking about, and the fighting your previous he person demonstrated, are worlds apart.
Time to sort out self care plan and down time @CheerBear , it’s important for the long haul. You’ve fought hard to get where you are. Sending 💞💞💞💞
Thankyou for being you. Full of passion and getting things done, but you are important in the picture.

@CheerBear Dropping off an early ☕️☕️☕️💞💞💞
How did your your meetings go yesterday?
Do you have a psych appointment today?
Counsellor and I are going into town to sort out data and computer stuff, before the laptop arrives. Then, a coffee together, somewhere quiet. That should be nice, hopefully.

Re: Taking the plunge
It all went well enough yesterday thanks. I felt busy but got it all done. I had counsellor yesterday which was awesomely helpful. Psych next week.
How did your day go yesterday?
How are you feeling about getting the laptop now? Do you think it will help to have data and computer stuff sorted? Coffee sounds good ❤

Re: Taking the plunge
I think my notifications are tricky @CheerBear .
Counsellor yesterday sounds very timely, possibly timely. 💙💙💙💙 So good knowing there is good support.
Well @CheerBear yesterday was ‘ eventful ‘. Remember the 5k chip ‘ how hard can it be’ adventure?? Well I decided to cook some up yesterday. 😬😬 After throwing them around the floor, in a bag, to separate them, placed them in the oven, thinking how nice they were going to be.
I got caught up in my rock painting, then distracted by a smell. Black charcoal chips. Smoke everywhere. Smoke alarm yelling. How hard can it be.......???😂😂😂
The laptop is scary, but sorting out data etc will be a step forward. One step at a time.
Looking forward to coffee out.
How is today looking for you?

Big steps with the laptop. I hope it feels good to have sorted. Once you get used to it, it might be really fun 🤞
My day is looking OK thanks. Just Little and I for most of the day as Middle and Big are at their last day of school. We will make cake. Not sure where things will sit as far as whether we are allowed to go anywhere this weekend, so that has thrown me and my plans out a bit. I will have to stop avoiding the shops and go out for groceries today :face_with_rolling_eyes: I'd also like to get some paint and stain for my desk too, but again, I am not sure if I will be able to go to the house where my desk is to do it.

Re: Taking the plunge
Strangely @CheerBear the stone is turning out ok enough. Still more to do, but this is a slow one. I’m in slow mode, but still moving......I think. 🤔🤔
Thats so disappointing with the desk, restrictions and uncertainty again. I have kept up as much as I can, but admit, it gets confusing, and frustrating. I really hope you can make it to the country this weekend.
Avoiding the shops is understandable. Empty shelves again, panic and uncertainty.
I have only been out once in the last 4 mths to get meds. Apart from our local IGA, so I’m kind of anxious, but excited also. It’s all tricky, mind twisting stuff.
Back to kids at home for holidays @CheerBear. How will work from home go with that? I know you have already done it, but going back to doing it. Lots of big happening for you.
