Re: Taking the plunge
I don't think the laptop is a waste on you but I get how it can feel like that and how jumbled it can be. There might be a bit to learn and get used to but hopefully with a little time you'll enjoy it. I'm excited for you, though I hear it's not exciting for you at the moment 💜
I had a giggle at stave and was trying to work that one out 😂 I don't know about adjusting just yet. With Mr Person being here working in my room all week, a four day week, and Big off for two of them, nothing feels normal yet. Next week it might start being a bit more that way maybe.
It's the effort to get to the chickens that takes any appeal of down time away I guess. Packing, driving, packing up, driving back. And Sundays are always a bit busier here with getting ready for the week stuff, so any travel time eats in to energy and time for that I guess. Ugh. I think I'm in a bit of a rut this morning. I'd really like a couple of days completely to myself, to clean and organise and tune out, without needing to step over people :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Re: Taking the plunge
Stave sounds very hungry to me @CheerBear 😂😂😂😂😂
In some ways, this week has been bigger @CheerBear. Mr Person working there. A four day week is not far off full time, and Big at home. Lots of BIG there. Hopefully this week will be a more ‘ normal’ week.
I think some time to yourself pull stop, would be really really good @CheerBear . I felt tired just reading about packing, unpacking, driving, getting ready to the week ahead, oh, don’t forget shopping somewhere. That’s such a lot to do, and think about. 💞💞💞

Full stop @CheerBear . I think I need to stop trying to communicate this morning, it’s not working very well. 😜🤪😜🤪

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie Hi @CheerBear hope today goes smoothly for you both.
New laptop may be daunting at first Mags but once you get the hang of it I'm sure it will be a good thing. I use a mouse with mine - just plugs into a USB socket and is much easier than the panel under the keyboard to direct the pointer and click on things.

Re: Taking the plunge
Missed you also @CheerBear . I have only been reading posts the last few days. I couldn’t respond to any. It’s been tough for you also by the sound of it. If I’m getting that right, that is.
A second strong one here. Can I get you one? ☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
Oh @CheerBear The whole Crew down. That’s really tough. And a tricky shift. 💞💞
How are you feeling? Any symptoms of catching it yourself?
Thanks for the ☕️💜😍😍😍
Its a mixture of stuff here. And as soon as I try to write, I go blank. So bloody frustrating.🤯🤯
But one big positive, but has negatives to it is. I’m getting my taps changed. It’s a long story, but when my hands are swollen and sore, turning these taps is beyond me. Wasted water, mixed with frustration. Anyway, after trying here there and everywhere, advocacy contacted housing. Less that 2 weeks later, they are changing the taps. But now I’m panicking about the plumber being here. Can’t please some by the sound of me.
So yesterday, in a cleaning frenzy, all furniture is back where I started. One pain of curtains hems sown. My bathroom is so clean, I never want to use it again. And I’m beyond exhaustion, but smiling at how crazy I really am.
