Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear I teared up reading the reliving of some of your trauma. So incredibly hard and brave at the same time.
Interestingly, some of the conversation I had with counsellor yesterday was about how kids can be very cruel. She got that right. My interpretation of her, is ,they are trying to understand feelings and they can say and act in ways that take us completely off guard. She got that right also. The fact that Middle is communicating shows the strength of your relationship. Not easy to see from where you are right now, but an outside view sometimes spots the positives.
You must be beyond exhausted, and beyond everything else. I wish I could get in and help with the physical stuff. Online has some massive frustration.
Two posts from me also

Re: Taking the plunge
It’s taken a few years for the internals to get me to hear @CheerBear . You are doing ok.
I tend to over react when memories come through. We had a family of teddy bears, one in particular was a fav. Marshmallow was his/her name. But the others were full of character and belonged to different someone’s. One internal shared a problem about a teddy situation, so...................wait for it.................I gave ALL the teddy’s away. Yep, they are really angry. I’m in the dogs house. 😀😀 Last week it was counsellor, so I asked her to move over an make some room.

Re: Taking the plunge
I hear you with the frustration of online sometimes. I've wished a bazillion times, I could see craft in person, bring soup and food, help find a kitchen etc. ❤
I feel really lucky to get some insight into what living with internals is like. I think/hope I'm understanding more as we go. That they have tried to get you to listen - that to me speaks volumes about how tricky it would be to have such noise and to want to shut it out, or to not understand it all, but not have it stop. Like a volcano perhaps.
Lots of feels at Marshmallow and giving all the teddies away. Was it a recent giving away of them? That would definitely be a dog's house thing here too!
How is your today looking? Is it a quiet day for you?

Re: Taking the plunge
The teddy give away was about 3 years ago @CheerBear . I’m a bit thick. But they are forgiving, eventually. We will find some more, I will learn to listen.
Living with it better is something I’m doing also @CheerBear . Tongue in cheek, some of the time. 😜😜😜
Angry and sad are perfectly normal ( healthy) emotions. It’s a tough call @CheerBear , no easy road.
Can you veg out in pjs today?
Yes, a quiet day here. Waiting for paint, but it will be slow.

Re: Taking the plunge
Gah paint being slow is frustrating! I had a parcel arrive yesterday - a new beanie from London. A while ago I hunted and found the perfect one. It's in my favourite colour with two mega, huge, fluffy pompoms. I don't do single pom pom beanie, just to make things difficult for myself I guess haha 😂. Anyway, I've worn it non stop and it doesn't look so fresh or nice anymore so I decided to get a second one exaclty the same for wearing out occasionally so I can continue to wear this one to death 😁 Hope your paint comes soon.
No pj day for me. I have training today and have to deal with this house as we have a busy day tomorrow and busy weekend before school goes back next week. I think I'll feel better once the house is tidy and the groceries are done.
Hope your quiet day helps you.
I am feeling some motivation now caffeine is in so I am going to go and tackle some washing. Thank you for being a great friend Maggie. I appreciate you a lot.
Mega ❤

Good morning @Maggie @CheerBear @Bunniekins
Hearing and feeling you @CheerBear
And you too @Maggie I love that rhyme you shared - it's so true.
How nice that your neighbour will still come to walk with you @Bunniekins
I was up at 5.30 and nearly checked in here, but decided to do some colouring in case sleepiness returned. It didn't! Really feel like a 2nd coffee here but the only other time I did that since getting the new espresso machine my hand tremor flared strongly for the first time in a long time. It rattled me badly. So no 2nd coffee for me darnit.
Hi also to @Former-Member and @Faith-and-Hope and anyone else around here today.
Hoping today is better than yesterday for all here xx

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @eth . That’s an early start for you.
I read you have finished your housing application. A major achievement, so congratulations. 👍👍
I would be saying darn it, if I was restricted to one coffee @eth but hand tremors are really hard. I get shaky, different reasons, but it’s not a nice feeling at all.
Will you be able to have a nap sometime during the day, or does that affect your sleep?
Sending you some 💜💜💜💜💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge
Sorry @Maggie I got caught up on a couple of other long posts and didn't get back here to chat with you. May have missed you now. The housing applic'n is still awaiting one more document. I requested it from c'link 2 weeks ago and still hadn't received it so rang them yesterday and it turns out they've sent the wrong one anyway (even that hasn't come), so it was lucky I rang. Unbelievably they said they never email statements (or anything else) and can't do that. In this day and age! So I'm just hoping the right one gets here within a few days as there's a deadline for the applic'n of June 17 or else the whole thing has to be started again. So ... frustration!
You get it re the tremors/shakiness by the sounds of things. Yes it's not a good feeling. Brings up so much fear for me as I had them for a few years before I came to live here and the new psychiatrist changed one of my meds. So many 'what ifs'.
I will def have at least a rest sometime today.
How's your day looking?

Re: Taking the plunge
@eth How frustrating. Something like that can be a trigger for me. It’s just so hard for people with MH issues to have to redo stuff. It’s a strange system that’s for sure.
I get shaky a lot @eth . Some conversations on and off line can set it off. Can’t even hold a coffee. I just back off if I can, and rest. Yes, so many ‘ what ifs’. Sometimes it take longer to settle than others. Tricky navigating all this stuff.
Good to hear you will rest some today. I’m off to start some sorting etc. Take care @eth 💜💜💜💜
