Re: Taking the plunge

Hello @Former-Member - I am here 😊 Reading with interest. Glad to see you back 😀xx No one is perfect, we can only do our best to do the right thing. And have peace with knowing that...it's enough. If it's not for others and they reject us for whatever reasons n - that's their problem to deal with 😊

Re: Taking the plunge

I rejected them in the end @Former-Member 💕
Because I didn't want to pretend to be perfect like they were pretending. 😠😀
Why can't they just be honest instead of fake?
Not really a question 😀 just saying

Re: Taking the plunge

Please don't apologise @Former-Member ..... I think it is important that you have found your voice about it and are expressing how it made you feel ...... that is real, and it is important ...... and yes, many church-going people are very self-important and perfectionist in their outlook, unfortunately ..... and it is very hurtful, even downright obnoxious .......

But fortunately, they also tend to be the loud minority ....., so there is hope for the rest of us ......,

Hugs @Former-Member ...... I appreciate what you have said.

Re: Taking the plunge

It takes a long time for some wounds to heal @Faith-and-Hope 💜💗
Especially when you give your "all" and trust people.
I didn't realise how hurt I still feel.
Some wounds are deeper than others.
Thanks for hugs.
Hugs back. 😙

Feel silly raving on here sometimes 😮

Re: Taking the plunge

It can feel a bit silly @Former-Member, until you realise you are voicing things that others also feel, and didn't want to express for fear of appearing or feeling silly ..... until they see you do it and realise that it's not silly at all ..... you are reaching into that deep reservoir of pain and drawing some of it out to release at the surface ...... and others can take from your lead and do the same ....., I ho early believe that.

All I see here is courage .,,,,

Re: Taking the plunge

It's good to be real @Former-Member. I agree with you. I like people who are and not pretense because that's what I am like. What you see, hear is the real me and not all will like it. But I like who I am, I know I care, so won't change it for them. Not that anyone has asked lol. Also being kind and humble....Then if people don't appreciate me or expect too much of me it can cause disaapointment and at times be disheartening...but it doesn't take my inner peace. I don't get angry as that will take it and I won't allow anyone to do that 😊 Those who matter will always be there. Sending a warm hug xx😘

Re: Taking the plunge

@Faith-and-Hope@Former-Member@Former-Member@Former-Member@Former-Member I blame myself really, as this time last year this same lady rejected me because I have a mental illness, and in her opinion, she doesn't. She suffers from anxiety and depression. She contacted me asking for forgiveness saying she will never do it again. As I need forgiveness myself often, I did and here we are then, a piece of rubbish for the heap. Yep, best without that one, I won't go there again. @Former-Member I have a road rage language, and I'm proud to give a good F#### now. Why I actually said no, and it was very difficult, was I wanted to set boundaries, not just be available at their whim. I got that wrong...or did I ????? I knew I wasn't going to cope in the middle of the city. Thankyou all. What a great little group of people there are here. Let's have our face mask night tonight, if it suits everyone. F### um all!!!! Lol. @Former-Member Many, not all, church folk struggle with MI, thinking we can get over it. Often I think church drags behind, catching up much later, by then, we have been hurt. Anyway, I'll make a few preparations, let me know if tonight is a goer, and what time is good for everyone.

Re: Taking the plunge

Tonight is good for me @Maggie. I will be here with bells on. A bit of pampering sounds just the go. Oh yes, I think I remember that so-called friend of yours from last year. Mmmmm, not worth worrying about Maggie. You deserve far far better than that. Okay everyone @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @Former-Member @TAB @Shaz51 @Zoe7, who else is coming?

Sherry xx
