Re: Taking the plunge

Sorry you have a headache @CheerBear. I think you did mention seeing you GP about them, might be a good idea. I’m topping up, would love to bring you one in bed, but virtual will have to do, freezing here, electric blanket is on, ready for a quick trip to the kettle and back.

Yesterday was ok ish. I tried some cross stitch. Got myself set up, found where I was up to on the pattern, and the phone rang. 😂😂😂 My girl always thinks it’s for her, so she ran jumping barking’ I’ll get it’. Pattern everywhere. 😂😂😂 It was counsellor, so we had a good chat, once I got the phone that is. That was the end of it then. I spent ages looking for a quick unpick, hoping to take up my curtains, no luck there either. Not the best, nor worst of days.

Hows today looking?

Re: Taking the plunge

Coffee in bed would be awesome @Maggie. I will make a GP appt soon I think. It's getting very cold here too. I think you're sending some of it here tomorrow. Mouse cat is pretty much sleeping inside the bar heater now 😆

I'm glad to hear you had not the worst day yesterday. Your counsellor is awesome looking out for you as she does. Do you think it helped shift some of the quicksand, or start to shift it? Awww with furbaby thinking the phone is for her 😂😍

Sounds kind of frustrating to have tried curtains and cross-stitch but not made i far beyond that. I think I would have taken scissors to the curtains and then very much regretted it!
Today is looking busy until this afternoon. More training, an appt with my counsellor and some emails and tech I need to see to and set up. I need to upgrade/change some office stuff as we're expecting to be working from home for a bit longer. Everywhere has sold out of everything so I'll have to have a real hunt around I think 🧐

How about your day today?

Lol @CheerBear Mouse cat sleeping inside the bar heater. 👍👍🐾🐾😺😻

My girl is under the doona all night these cold nights. They like the warmth.

Yes, definitely helps with quick sand feelings. At least my eyes have stopped leaking, so exhausting. Even seeing nice things got me going, no landing space. I hate the tricky, darting out from everywhere, but not actually knowing where they are coming from. Or maybe not wanting to know where they are coming from. Hummm 🤔🤔🤔

I’ve done the cutting up before @CheerBear. Many a cross stitch has met a quick fix ending, and I’ve very much regretted it later.

Another busy day ahead for you. 💙💙💙 It is tricky with stuff being sold out. Counsellor was saying that yesterday, because people are working from home, high demand now. I hope you have some success. It can be frustrating.

Re: Taking the plunge

It's pretty sweet having little balls of fur cuddling up in the cold @Maggie ❤🐱🐶

Really feeling with you with the tricky that you've been going through. Thought provoking wondering whether it's not seeing where it's coming from or not wanting to see where it's coming from. Leaking eyes are exhausting and when it happens with the good and the not good, there's little break. Huge hugs 🙁🖤

I'll figure out the office stuff. I had a laptop funded through a family violence thingy last year. I chose the least expensive one I could find even though I was encouraged to choose bigger and better. I kind of regret that now as I could really use a faster, clearer, less clunky one. Working requires a gazillion things open at once and being able to move between them quickly. Plus my laptop really struggles with video which so much of the work and even my not work related appointments, kid's school work etc. need. Tricky as it won't be like this forever but it might be like this for just long enough to need to sort it out.

I have a bunch of stuff to work out before I start this morning so I'd better head out. I really hope today has something OK or better about it for you. Am thinking of you lots and lots. Mega love ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I was wondering if where you are now employed might fund a better laptop for you. Just a thought, as working from home might be done at different hours, even after restrictions are eased. They benefit from it also.

Having a zillion things open blows my 🦖🦕 mind.

Sending mega 💙💙💙💙

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi and good morning @Maggie @CheerBear @Sans911 @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member and anyone else here today. Great that things went so well for you yesterday @CheerBear . Hope you find the stuff your office needs without too long searching. Wondering if you can claim it from your tax eventually if work won't pay for it - I think you can if you need to set up an office at home. As far as I recall it just has to be a dedicated room.

@Maggie @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Sans911 hope today is one of the better ones for you. I have a bit more energy than the last few days. Thank goodness. I'm a bit concerned that my depressed times are increasing, but have got an earlier appointment with my psychiatrist now. for next wed instead of june 10. Plus new psychologist for the 29th may. Things that might help to look forward to.

Take care all xoxo

Morning @eth. I'm so pleased to hear that you are getting on top of things and forward thinking. I'm in a similar situation to you, and also feeling a little more energy the last few days. You're helping me to see that we can get out of the funk we are in.
