Re: Taking the plunge

Morning everyone 👋

Sorry I missed your post yesterday @Sans911. I didn't see it without q tag. Glad you're still able to connect with others. I hope your gardening and quiet day was OK enough for your yesterday.

Your cat pic made me giggle @Maggie 😆 and thanks for your tag above ❤ I imagine this day could have a bit of tricky in it for you (or maybe it's just another day - I'm not sure).

Yay for the candle holders! I am looking forward to what you create with them. I had a go with some paint yesterday but my eyes were so blurry with tired that I couldn't focus close enough to do it. Bit frustrating so I gave up. I'm hoping to play today.

How's bro after the restrictions announcement on Friday? I went to read about schools then workplaces then pubs to see what the news would be like for him. It's still a little while away for him by the look of things.

And how was your yesterday?

Hi to everyone here ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Mother’s Day in the past has been tricky, but I’ve out grown it I think now, I have fur baby, she’s perfect. 🐶💜

I haven’t heard from bro, but guessing he’s pleased , and waiting for the green light. I don’t contact him on days like today, those memories are best left alone, unless he rings. I’ll see.

Yesterday was a pj day, it rained, so it was a good choice.

Sorry painting didn’t work out , it’s hard when eyes are tired. Any chance of it today? I’m guessing it’s a busy one ahead for you.

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm sure if furbaby could talk she'd be thanking you for being the best fur-mumma around @Maggie ❤ I hope today stays OK enough for you. Silly Hallmark days 🙁

Pj days when it's raining is so often a good choice. It was miserably cold here yesterday and it stayed cold overnight. The house was very chilly. Definitely time for me to find more blankets and maybe something to put over the windows at night. I'm feeling it this year - can't get warm enough :face_with_rolling_eyes:

I'll try and paint today for sure. Soon Mondays will be work days and will take a lot of Sunday organising so I'd like to try and get some routine there (though nothing is routine at the moment 😑), as if it was work tomorrow this week. Supermarket, cleaning up etc. I have some tech I need to sort out too as I start training this week and now need to share tech with the littler online learners. We also have a family morning tea online. We organised something a bit silly for mum - a poetry reading for her. We all wrote poems (no-one is a writer or poet haha). Some silly (Little and I made a song/rap, some very mushy, and some somewhere in between). She doesn't know we've done it so that will be her mother's day gift from us 😁 Looking forward to that. Busy but good day ahead I hope.

How about your day today?

Re: Taking the plunge

Awww @CheerBear I hope that’s what she would say. Big love for my baby girl. So glad she’s in my life.

They are silly hallmark days, and very difficult for so many. In the past they were for me. History now, time moves on. I’ve no idea if I’m bluffing myself atm, whatever. ☹️☹️

Being cold isnt a nice feeling @CheerBear . I hope you can warm up, winter is on the doorstep. I’m wondering if it’s colder this year.

Gosh, training already. I hope it goes well. Adjustment might take time, for everyone, but it will work out.

I like the sound of poem, rap/song. Such lovely meaningful things to remember.

I can hear positive in your words @CheerBear . This is all so good to hear.

I hope to get myself self out of this slump I’ve fallen into. I’ll head over to the IGA sometime, that means I’ll need to shower and get dressed. Sigh. Then...I don’t know.

Re: Taking the plunge

Maybe sometimes a bit of "fake it til you make it" can work @Maggie, I don't know. Whatever you need to do to get through is what is right. Father's Day is one that really can throw us all here. "Love your pet day" would be better 😆

The adjustment is big and I'm feeling anxious now. What if I can't do it, what if it is too much, what if I am kidding myself... all normal to an extent I hope. There's a lot to work out so I can do this with the crew and a lot to learn for work itself. Work is still from home too so how I will be doing things now is different to how I will be doing it in the office. Plus still homeschooling for now also. Madness. Maybe helpful to have us all home so we don't have to throw childcare in to the mix yet though 🤔 Big breaths.

I can feel and see the slump you are in at the moment Maggie. Days can be so long and hard in a slump. It's tricky when lots is tangled up and twisted in it all. Shower is first up for me today, then attempt to find the kitchen and some clothes 🤔

More hugs from me too @Sans911. I noticed some tricky stuff on my morning wander around and I hope you were able to settle or find some peace in your evening. Still very early there for you I think ❤

Re: Taking the plunge

Thanks @CheerBear - it was quite a messy evening last night here on the forums. I got tangled up in something that had been brewing for days and then exploded. I'm still upset this morning about it, so I may stay away from here ppuntil later in the day or longer. I feel OK here just now because it's early. I hope you have a pleasant Mothers day with the littlies.
