Re: Taking the plunge

Sib has a shift today 🎉 I was having coffee with them while their lift came. It's made a big difference to their MH and wellbeing. It feels like purpose and hope for them.

Thank you for listening and understanding, and sitting in the wait with me @Maggie . The unknown is always a breeding ground for wonky. I struggle to settle a lot in the unknown

Haha with being lucky to still have a whole iPad. I tipped a printer over the other day and hammered it with my hand to get it to work. Sometimes tech responds surprisingly well to that. Many times not so well though 😆

Mr Person is one of the most genuinely caring, thoughtful and sensitive I've met. I am learning how to accept it from a he person. His him-ness makes me want to try to do that. Im lucky.

Ugh with the kitchen hunt! Surely with technology now, there are self-cleaning kitchens :face_with_rolling_eyes:😁

Can you poison the ivy? That might be a silly question. Our yard is a jungle again. Maybe time to either do it or call someone to come and help I think.

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning lovely ladies @Maggie @CheerBear

No, not STILL awake. I've slept in fits and starts but Mr A decided that 3:30am is his new breakfast time, and no, he wasn't go to wait an extra hour (well actually he is!). He's pretty cranky atm, trying to rip up yesterday's junk mail. He has (and I) have another half hour of this before I decide its a decent time to feed him.

So I decided I might has well have a coffee as it's cool, and very blustery outside. Once he's fed I can go back to sleep hopefully.

I'm glad the cauliflower turned out well @Maggie. Sounds delicious.

And hearing you @CheerBear re:waiting on an application. It's such a trying times and absolutely does a tap dance in your head. Your Mr Person did a very thoughtful, kind thing yesterday.

Re: Taking the plunge

Ha ha @CheerBear Hammered technology 👍👍👍👍 I try that method a lot, and like you have found, some success, some not success. I was trying to put the lock back on my gate after gardening yesterday, no luck. One pound on the cement, success. 👍👍👍👍

So pleased sib has a shift today. This whole situation has really affected so much MH issues. Might be long lasting for some. There’s talk of cafes and pubs opening, that means bro will get back to some routine. 🤞🤞🤞

The unknown is a really hard place to sit with. I haven’t met a person who is comfortable there. I really hope it doesn’t take too much longer. 💜💜

I do like the sound of he ness in Mr Person. It’s good to know He people can be genuine, caring, sensitive and thoughtful. I’m knowing this is two ways @CheerBear , he is also very lucky to have you, I wish good things for you both, sometimes things do fall into place. Enjoy everything you can. Life is short, even in the endless stretches.

I’ll have a self cleaning kitchen anyway. 👍👍👍

The gardeners who do the lawns have been poisoning it for a while now. I’m not into poison in the soil, but it’s not looking like it’s working anyway.

I’d vote for getting help with the garden @CheerBear , you have more than enough on your plate. And it’s part of the plan. Reserve your energy.

It’s 11 degrees here this morning, a warm start,

Hows your weather??

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Sans911. It's lovely to see you again this morning ❤

Naughty Mr A. Do you find male cats are more sooky and whinge more? I've had mostly female cats but a couple of male and that's been my experience. The girls are so much more independent and catty (haha). The boys have just been giant sooks that the girls walk all over (literally at times).

Thanks for hearing me too. I had a feeling you'd know what this one is like well.

I hope you get some more sleep in. 3:30 is totally ridiculous o'clock!

Re: Taking the plunge

@Sans911 I was really hoping you would sleep after your huge day Yesterday.

Mr A sounds like a handful, in the nicest way. My girl will rip things up when I’m on the phone. They are little devils. 🐾🐾😾🐶:angry_face_with_horns::angry_face_with_horns::angry_face_with_horns:

Do you have a more relaxing day planned today?

My girl is back to sleep now. All fed and emptied out.

Re: Taking the plunge

I smiled so much at "life is short, even in the endless stretches" @Maggie. I love that. You are so wise.

Haha with the cement helping the lock! It's kind of satisfying I find, when things like that respond to a thump!

Surely they have to and will start opening things up again. It's having a hige impact and taking a real toll. It will be good for our sibs to have some normal back. I am not sure whether it will happen for us yet with school though. It's a bit hardcore here. Not forever though and have to keep telling myself that.

Super annoying with the ivy. I don't like the poison either but sometimes it seems the only way. I go demolition mode before trying it though some things are very stubborn and take more than muscle.

Warm start here of 13 at the moment. The heater is on only for a little while this morning, just to take the chill away for when the crew wake up. It was stunning yesterday and I think the same will happen today. In a way it is harder to be stuck at home when it is sunshiney. The crew get cabin fever more in the nicer weather I think.

Any painting or x stitch planned soon?

Re: Taking the plunge

I've had mostly male cats @CheerBear and yes, mine have been sooky. Mr A though ups the crankometer though. I've seen cats tear cardboard but he destroys paper like a shredder. I discovered last week a library book under the bed which sadly I will have to now pay for as he has completely decimated the front cover-sigh!! Mr A though is much worse since Jasper died, so I'm now weighing up whether I foster a cat or kitten for a while. When Jasper was a kitten he was really sweet and gentle with him. But once Jasper was an adult all that went.

Re: Taking the plunge

No top up for me @CheerBear. Mr A has about 5 to 10 minutes to wait, and I'm struggling to stay awake.

Re: Taking the plunge

My Noodle car is a paper cat too @Sans911. I can't work out if he loves it or hates it haha. He will sit on any piece of paper or carboard and as soon as it moves or crunches it is destroyed. He's so goofy and gets down really low, stalking the paper while his bottom wiggles

😔 so sorry anout Jasper. That is devastating. I'll always vote for another cat. Tricky if Mr A doesn't go so well with them though
