Re: Taking the plunge

Thinking of you @Former-Member Don't want to tell you what to do but I hear how hard it is to decide. Personally I am not doing anything in a group for the time being. I can also hear that you have a lot on your plate with hubby's needs. I hadn't realised he has significant health and support needs, sorry. I hope you are able to convince him that traveling isn't a good idea at the moment. Thinking of you xxx

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @CheerBear so good to hear from you .... vent posting is just fine. At least I hope it is, because I do it all the time. 😵

Wow ... so much going on. And totally agree about the reactions of people during this health crisis. Never thought I would see this in Australia. Its just beyond my comprehension. Seems like a lot of appointments for Middle, perhaps some complications there. Hope it all works out in the end. Glad you are starting to feel a little better physical health wise. Maybe everything else will work out soon too. You didnt mention Mr Friend?

@Faith-and-Hope ... really feel for you too with regards to having to cancel plans to visit family in the West. As I just posted 10 mins ago, we are in that situation too. We are meant to be travelling Thursday, but I think today we will cancel. I am hoping to take advantage of the Seniors shopping hour one day this week. I do qualify, so all good there. I have been unable to buy several items I need for the past 3 weeks. Starting to become worrying now ... so many empty shelves, and feral people. I hate crowds anyway, but even worse when they behave as they have been lately. Hopefully the 7-8am senior and disabled shoppers will be more amenable. I also hope the supermarket actually stocks up their shelves for us to have something to buy. That would be nice.

Thanks @eth ... yes hubbys needs are extensive, and he is not a very appreciative patient. 😔

@Maggie 💕

Re: Taking the plunge

Hugs for all. Things feel 🙁 in lots of ways for many at the moment.

@Faith-and-Hope that's hard to be keeping away from your crew and family 🙁 Tough with D2 also. My parent is vulnerable given the whole cancer/palliative thing. They're a bit 'willfully ignorant' (sounds bad but that's how I see it) so I'm just hoping they heed advice and stay safe. I can't make them do anything (which drives me nuts! 😉)

We've got similar kinds of time out zones happening, even more so since sibling moved in. The house is tiny. Sib is in what was the playroom, the kids still all share a room, and I have my room now with a tv in it, so it's a juggle but workable-ish enough. Hugs for you ❤

@Maggie you won't ever be annoying 🤍 I'm sorry you're feeling the tricky too 🙁 Morning coffee soon? 🤞❤:pile_of_poo: (haha that was supposed to be a hug emoji but I slipped - it works right now anyway).

@Former-Member I was thinking of you and your hubby, and the extra stress and pressure you might be under 🙁 Not a lot to say there but lots of understanding and love to you.

You asked about/mentioned my friend. Him and I are going super thanks. My thoughts about lust have been clearer and I believe it's definitely beyond that for both of us now (and he does too) 🙂 He's great with my kids and we all spend quite a bit of time together. Hoping very much I'll be able to start getting to know his kids soon too but it's complicated and needs lots of consideration. I feel lucky to have him in my life. We do well together and it feels right (as right as this stuff can feel for me).

@TheVorticon I 👀 you. Are you having as much fun as me with your shopping and food-ing 😖🤯😳? Not sure if you remember a missing cheese meltdown story you empathised with ages ago - that's escalated to the point where I can't and won't go to the shop now. I hate shops as it is and my brain explodes just generally with it. Thinking you might be in the same boat there too (with the rest of the world). Hope you're doing OK enough with everything.

@eth and @outlander more hugs. I guess one of the awesome forum things is we can hug without a risk of sharing bugs 😁 We're all well practiced at doing things together separately so this should be a piece of cake 😉😘🙂

❤

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Shaz51 and thank you 💕

So good to hear that you have your new computer. 👍 So hard being without. I know! 😕

I cancelled our trip to Perth this morning. The more I hear through the day, the better my decision appears to be. Sad about missing niece wedding. But could not afford to find ourselves stranded away from home. And he has been quite unwell today. Hubby agreed with decision to cancel. I have to say that I breathed a sigh of relief.

Sorry about your car troubles, certainly not what you need right now.

Good morning @Maggie and @CheerBear I'm noticing your absence this morning and hoping you are both ok. That today has some positive moments in it and you get a chance to sit in the sun for a bit.
