Re: Taking the plunge

I’m pleased you can make it to gig today @CheerBear . I ready hope it goes really well.

I have a small dog on my lap too @CheerBear , so second coffee hasn’t happened yet. So hard to move them when they are so warm and comfy. ❤️❤️

Yesterday was ok enough. Started some painting, hope to add to it today.

Cold here also. Lovely under the doona. 👍👍

Re: Taking the plunge

I'm feeling a bit nervous about going in today after my dodgy shift then missing last week because I was sick @Maggie. I hope it goes well too 😏

It's kind of lovely to be stuck in bed with a ball of fur 😊 Little Mouse cat has lost her usual spot in my bed because Rocket has claimed it. Rocket was somewhere else when I went to bed so Mousey snuck under the blankets for a while. It was really nice to get to cuddle her for a while (under Boss Rocket came and made her get out in a bang of hisses and growls).

Glad you got some painting in yesterday. Have you been working on the next fundraiser?

@TheVorticon sorry you had a less than pleasant morning. Hope chocolate and hiding out felt OK.

Re: Taking the plunge

It doesn’t take much to injure the confidence @CheerBear. Getting out the door is always a good start I find. Sending some 💚💚💚

Bang hissing and growls @CheerBear 😂😂😂 that’s a bossy rocket cat. They are possessive of us, I enjoy it in a way. My girl will nudge any other dog away if they get too close to me, even lots bigger than she is, which doesn’t take much.

I was trying to work out the different between self loathing and self pity this morning @CheerBear, just for some light entertainment in the wee hours. 🤓🤓 It seems both mean not taking responsibility. Which leads to more thinking. I often wonder if people who write articles come from theory, with little person experience. That then brings me back to the start, is that kind of thinking self pity???? I’m not asking a question, just rambling. Happy morning thoughts.

Re: Taking the plunge

I think similarly with the achievement that is getting out of the door @Maggie. I'll do that today and from there the rest is a bonus 🙂

Love the little creatures with the huge protective and possessive personalities ❤ Rocket is full boss. Half the size of Noodle and smaller than Mouse. If you asked Rocket, I'm sure she would say that this is her house and she owns everyone and everything in it 😆

The "light entertainment" read made me giggle. I can relate. Some of my deepest thinking and pondering comes from not-so-light morning reading. I didn't delve too far into not-light today. I hunted for the psychology behind toiket paper panic 😉

I better get moving. It will be busy today with my gig, then picking up the crew a bit early from school for Middle's appointment for her arm, then soccer training. I feel tired already.

Hope theres colour in your day ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤 (ooooh I got a new bronze emoji heart!).

Re: Taking the plunge

I've had a big day starting with another really challenging shift. This time I felt a bit more confident with it and I was able to put into practice some of the things I learnt from stuffing up last time but it was tricky. A paid position is coming up and I am thinking I might really consider applying as it's a great opportunity. There was lots to think about when I left today (and lots of annoying "you're kidding yourself" stuff to contend with :face_with_rolling_eyes:).

I had enough time when I came home for a super quick cuppa before picking up the littler ones for Middle's appointment. Their arm is fractured again - the third break in less than 2 years 🙁. For now it's in a slab plaster as it's in the middle of the bone not the outside of it, and we've been given a referral to a specialist to see what, if anything, it needs and whether there's more going on. More questions about their diet and restrictive eating issues they have. It feels a bit big to think about. They became really teary at the idea of missing soccer and bargained with the Dr to be able to particpate in a little bit of gentle, non-contact training. I feel torn between not wanting them to do more damage but wanting them to be able to enjoy the benefits of this new adventure. I'll talk to their coach tonight and see what he thinks.

I feel frustrated. I don't expect things to be easy but it would be nice for it to not be quite so hard. It feels like one thing after another always. I feel like I'm always juggling things and with all of the kid's stuff plus all my own :pile_of_poo:, I wonder how I will ever get ahead.

There's my vent. Thanks to anyone who listened.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear That’s a big day, not over yet for you. I so understand those internal voices. Really hard to overwrite. Some of my wee hour thinking and searching was trying to get a grip on it.

I believe in you. It might be a bit like pushing yourself out the door. Apply, then everything from there is a bonus.

Really sorry middle has a break. I was hoping otherwise. I hope coach has some helpful suggestions.

I understand the :pile_of_poo::pile_of_poo: and will you/me/we ever get ahead fears. I think part of it is, we keep getting back up, even when we don’t want to , or can’t. Just the miraculous fact that we are still breathing, can only be understood by those of us who just keep on getting back up. I know it’s more than super hard, but we can do it, or at least, we can today.

That’s my rave. Lots of 💜💜💜💜💜
