Re: Taking the plunge

I've been in bed tossing around wondering what to do given it's so early @Maggie. I'd just settled on saying hi to you when your post came through.

How are you going this morning? And how are you feeling about your scan today?

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh gosh @CheerBear , I didn’t expect to see you here this early. A bad night again for you.

I’m feeling ok about the scan I think. Will be good to have it over and done with, and hopefully some action.

With all the other things going on atm, the scan seems minor, that’s a change.

Re: Taking the plunge

Just lots going on in my head I think @Maggie. Annoying. Sleep is important 😏

I can see how the scan might seem minor with everything happening for you, and maybe even a good thing as a step towards fixing it up for you. Sounds horrible 🙁

Any plans for after the scan?

Re: Taking the plunge

I’m hoping to find somewhere in town to update my iPad @CheerBear . Its really slow. I don’t have NBN, just mobile data, so updates need connection. Depends if there’s somewhere close enough.

Sleep is very important, but I do understand you have a lot going on in your head.

Do you have any other support workers? I know one fell through recently.

I wish I could share my counsellor with you @CheerBear . I imagine you would get on so well.

Do you have plans after the crew head out to school?

Re: Taking the plunge

Is there a maccas around @Maggie? They're good for the internet when you're out and about I find 🙂

I have my counsellor who is awesome. Every 2nd week, alternating with psych. It's online via video link so bonus is I don't leave the house. I also have my support coordinator. We're looking for an accredited MH worker for outreach. That's the missing link for me.

My plans today, funny enough after the above, are to have a counselling appt and then meet with my support coordinator who I haven't seen for months. Then mow probably. It's a jungle 😑

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear There’s a Maccas down the road. I never thought of that. Thanks for that. 👍👍👍👍

Sounds like a good day planned. Can you talk about the important person in you life?

Once the missing link is found, things should hopefully work for you. Finding a good fit is tough though.

Lawn mowing, ugh. Hope it’s not too hot up your way.

I have written, typed and printed my Police report. For now, it will be a complaint without action. If contact persists, and it has via text, I will take out an AVO. I have text msgs printed also, so covering my back. This is super hard, and again everything natural in me.

Re: Taking the plunge

Sorry @Maggie - drifted back off for a bit.

I'll speak about the person with my counsellor today I think.

That sounds like a very good plan above. Great idea to have it documented and formalised and it will make it much easier to get the AVO (easier isn't the right word here but tired head and stuff). How was it to type it up? The experiences of things like that don't often fit nicely with words or chronological timelines etc. 🙁 This is big.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I did hope you had drifted off, even for half an hour. Not ideal, but rest, if nothing else.

Goos to know you have open communication there. 👍👍👍

It felt a bit yukky typing it up. I was afraid of getting it wrong, or wrongly accusing the person. I have gaps in my memory, so it doesn’t ( flow). Such a bad choice of words there, but it’s tricky to explain.

It is big. Much bigger than I am.

Better get myself ready for an early appointment.

Have as good a day as you can. ❤️💙💜💛💚

Re: Taking the plunge

I thought it might have been that way with typing it up @Maggie 😔:face_with_rolling_eyes: Experiences like that don't translate into written or spoken words well. It's a flaw in the system I think, but it sounds like you did enough.

Good luck with your scan today. Very much hoping it leads to something helpful for you.

I have mermaids on my feet. It's a good day already 😉😊
