@Former-Member Frustrating...

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh my gosh @Maggie, I thought you were talking metaphorically not literally when you said what you said earlier. Was there physical violence involved? (I'm so slow :face_with_rolling_eyes:). How horrible either way, but serious wow if there was.

How are you feeling now? I can be pretty shaky after an explosion. Thinking of you ❤

Sorry about your NBN @Former-Member. That's so frustrating and then some. Isolated and forgotten are awful feelings, then add the concern about potential emergency situations - so grrr-ing with you.

Hi and 💙💛💜 back @Zoe7

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I just read your post from yesterday. Yes physical violence, can’t see the difference in wording, but anyway.

Numbness, adrenaline and dissociation have worn off today, so left with so much of, ,’if I did that instead if’ but stuck for words really.

Dropping off ☕️☕️☕️☕️💙💙💙💙

@Zoe7 no need to apologise, it did give me a twisted giggle.. thanks for your support, much appreciated. 💙💙💙💙💙

@Former-Member 💙💙💙💙

Wow @Maggie 🙁 I'm so sorry. That is so incredibly not OK.

I can't believe we were only talking about exploding in the morning, then that.

Here and thinking about you 💙🙁💙

Re: Taking the plunge

Definitely NOT ok @CheerBear.

That was my thoughts also, about having spoken about it earlier in the day. Very unexpected from me, which I’m guessing, she didn’t ever expect it from me either. Still wondering where it came from and why.

Councellor and I talked about Police involvement, but it’s my word against hers, no proof. No marks showing. And I don’t have the strength atm.

How are you travelling? How did rainbow cake turn out? 💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge

I was going to ask whether you knew where it came from and why @Maggie. Is there anything that was different about how you were feeling yesterday, or the situation etc? (That's probably the same question in different words). I'm so 😮 I can only imagine how you're feeling.

I'm so sorry you went through that, for so many reasons 🙁 You've had a "off" feeling about this person for a while (maybe a long while) and it shows that you could trust that perhaps.

I'm better this morning thanks. I have one layer of the cake to make tonight then ice it and sprinkle it. It's looking good (so far) and was fun 🙂

Have you got a taking-it-easy day ahead?

Re: Taking the plunge

It’s been 10 years of abusive behaviour @CheerBear. You said some time ago when we spoke about this person, that I was no fool. I can assure you, that is exactly what I feel like. Very much a fool.

Why yesterday???? I reached the end of my tolerance maybe. I spoke gently, but said I wouldn’t take the blame for her mistakes. Then she exploded. In the back of my mind, that was what I feared. In a very round about and unexpected way, I faced that fear yesterday. I really did not expect what played out. Who could.

I have a drs appointment this afternoon which I’d like to cancel. But it’s less than 24 hrs notice, and I would need to pay part of the fees, so I’ll see if I can make it.

I’m pleased you are feeling a little better. 💜💜💜

The cake sounds great. 👍👍👍🎂🎂🎂🌈🌈🌈

Re: Taking the plunge

10 years is a long time to have tolerated it @Maggie. I still don't think you're a fool. I think you've been in a kind-of relationship with someone who has added to your jumble and that makes things tricky. On top of that, sometimes choosing some kind of connection with someone (even with someone toxic to be around) feels better than connection with no-one I think. I understand and hear it feels like you're a fool though.

Its brave to have faced that fear yesterday. Having it be met with that kind of explosion might only add to the fear of standing up for yourself, which is super :pile_of_poo: as it is OK to stand up for yourself.

In all of the feels, I think there would possibly be some sadness if I was going through it all too, as there's loss there. Sadness in this context can feel a bit twisted though. I'm not sure if it's something that's going on for you but I wanted to say it in case it is.
