Re: Taking the plunge
Hope the lead up to the school term is going well enough for you. I thought of you and all the teachers while I was wandering around the little school today. There was this feeling of hope and excitement for the year ahead and a bunch of littles happy to see their awesome teachers again ❤

And you too @Maggie. I look back on the 'week, maybe two' and now think how ridiculous that was 😖:face_with_rolling_eyes: Facepalm. Rest tonight, yes hopefully 🙂
How did you go in the heat today? It's really yuck here tonight.
Interested in hearing how everyone is if anyone would like to share @Former-Member, @Zoe7, @TheVorticon, @Maggie and all

Funny thing is @CheerBear that I was looking at a week, maybe 2 as well - then my whole world went bang too. It was only 2 and a half years for me but I don't have the extra pressure of LF to look after and and unwell one - so you really have done an amazing job to not only keep your head above water (although I know at times that has been super hard) but also continue to pursue your interests. You really have come so very far from that Funshine we first met - and I know of one little turtle that would be super proud of you too. It is times like today that makes those struggles and what you have got through mean even more because not only are you Doing It but your value and worth is being recognised by others - so super happy that this path is opening up for you ![]()

Re: Taking the plunge
Still no NBN here @CheerBear . As of Tuesday it was supposed to be back on. But when it wasnt, I rang telco. Now that nbn is back, they could run tests remotely. Seems like our modem is now a problem. They are sending a new one, but likely wont get it until Wednesday. So .. still no landline phone or internet. And unreliable mobile reception. They have given me some extra (free) mobile data to tide me over. 😕 Sigh. Just so unsettling knowing I cannot rely on comms if needed in an emergency. Hubby been very unwell this past week. My dad had another fall at his home. And I continue to fret over the likelihood that I lose my psych come end of March. And due to no PC and the limitations of mobile phone, I dont feel able to effectively communicate here on the forums either. I feel very isolated and increasingly alone in life. Life just doesnt feel worth fighting for any more.

"Only" two and a half years is a very long time to keep on keeping on when it's felt almost impossible to do @Zoe7. It's stories of little steps adding up and of courage and resilience that help keep hope alive, just as you've shown over the years we've been journeying together.
Thanks for helping me see that stuff zoe.
Bit of a lump in my throat there 😔🐢. I learned (and continue to learn) so much from so many here and carry that with me.

It sucks so much that you can't connect as effectively as you need to and not for lack of trying either. I hope you can keep trying. Even just little moments can make a difference.
Wish there was more to say. Lots of ❤🙁

Aww @Former-Member I felt a big lump reading how hard it is for you. You just don’t seem to ever get a break.
NBN on top of everything. It really shouldn’t be this hard. Sending lots of this your way 💜💙💛❤️💚💜💙💛❤️💚☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
Thank goodness you at least have your new teapot, and a decent cup of tea.
@CheerBear It’s hot as hell here. So grateful to have air con. Looks like the same your way, though I’m only guessing.
I’m completely dotted out, completely.
@Zoe7 You look like you are melting too, hotter than us today. Tomorrow Looking hotter.
I hope school preparation is going to plan. Not long now. I really wish you all the best for the year ahead.
@TheVorticon Hi again. @Snowie 👋👋💚💚

Oh @Former-Member Every little moment that you are here - either posting or under the support button is a joy to us Hon. You bring so much light with you - I wish you could see that for yourself. Even under extreme stress you continue to be of such a great support to so many here - you are truly a blessing on the forum and I too wish I could do or say more to help you recognise that.
This continued lack of available communication for you is now getting ridiculous - just as you said - what do you do in an emergency when you are so cut off by these outages. I am so sorry this continues to be such an issue for you - it is not good enough.
