Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-Member I like the sound of your detox diet, I never eat meat, cheese or dairy, mainly vegan. Had some fresh strawberries today with icing sugar. Yum. I found out a few hrs ago that I have a broken nose from the fall some months back. I thought as much. Not sure what will happen now as its been like this for around three mths now, I suppose they rebreak it yuk. I see the dr on wed so will find out then.
I think we are 28 atm @Former-Member. I'm told our heat is warmer than the mainland, closer to the ozone layer. I don't know how true that is, but it will do me, it's far too hot and warnings already for young /elderly and it's not yet summer.
I can hear some stress for the coming weekend which is understandable. Remember we are here to listen if you need to talk.
I have tried some sleeping pills but only got a few hrs sleep, it was the after affects, feeling drowsy the following day that put me off. BP today is stable and I have done a few necessary chores, that feels good in itself. Looks like things might get a bit better sooner rather than later.
I think after your busy week end we will have to have a girls evening online, what do you think @Former-Member@Former-Member@Former-Member@Bunniekins@Faith-and-Hope@Former-Memberand anyone who wants to join in.
@Former-MemberI hope you feel some relief after a cry, it can be a release of so much held inside. It's so hard seeing dear friends going through suffering. Thinking of you.

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-MemberYou are welcome to join us here whenever you feel you can. Sorry you have been suffering from a virus for so long, it makes life so much harder. I too find soothing music helps when stressed. I also like gardening but it's far too hot out there these days. How are all you family, fur babies?? I have one sitting on my knee at the moment, even though it's hot here. Try to rest @Former-Member, it helps heeling if you can. Thanks for the visit.💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Maggie, I must say that the online girls evening sounds like a great idea. But I dont think we can exclude any of the guys, as I think there are some? How about a members evening, I'd definitely be in that.
And you were right this morning when you suggested that you thought I had one of the old fashioned flip phones. Capable of talk and text, but nothing more. Maybe one day I will upgrade to a smart phone, but I remain reluctant for the time being. So I am unable to receive you or anyone else's messages unless I am at home and on my trusty PC.
Hubby's immunotherapy treatment went well today, but we were up there for 5 hours in total. Couldnt get a vein initially for the canula, so after 3 supposed 'stabs in the dark' they got things going on the 4th attempt. Then it all went fairly smoothly, and thankfully no allergic reactions to the drugs. Now we just have to wait and see what side effects emerge. So far he has a headache and feels nauseous. We have all sorts of remedies in case of gastro, nausea, etc, so its now a matter of wait and see I guess.
Hi to @Former-Member, @Bunniekins @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @CheerBear @Sans911.
@Former-Member I am really sorry to hear you've been ill lately. I hope you feel better very soon. I love all the posts I often read from you, very sweet.

@Former-Member
it is so hard waiting around in hospitals for our loved ones to receive care or treatment....
I am not surprised that he had a headache after stabbing him so many times...I loathe injections
hopefully the after effects will not last long...
are you at home having a rest now?
or are you getting ready for party time....??

Re: Taking the plunge
hello @Maggie
you are sounding a bit brighter....
I think that response from Enigma helped both of us somewhat...
have they changed your medication? or have you stopped all of it? it is absolutely horrid going through medication changes....
I am not around tonight @Maggie we are eating out with group of friends then back to one couple...she is an excellent cook for dessert...
this means that my adrenaline will be sky high.....I will not be able to sleep or unwind for at least tonight and most of tomorrow...
I have started practising my breathing exercises already....I made my husband laugh when I said that I cannot really do the one breathe in ..hold...breathe out...someone would notice me huffing and puffing which would defeat the whole purpose....so I will only be counting to ten when one of them starts the gossip....does my head in...
I sound very ungrateful ....they are very nice people...their conversation just does not stimulate me in the least....I have always hated gossip and back stabbing...
let me know more about this party...I should be around tomorrow ....the only thing is I cannot come on here early in the evening...my husband will flip his lid...so I am only around after 9.30ish and then only for a short time as have to try to unwind to get to sleep...
you probably already know all of this...what is natural sleep these days???
I always struggle getting to these things ...have been known to get out of going to several places..
so have to jump in the shower now...at least that is a start..
wishing you a comfortable evening also

Re: Taking the plunge
@Former-MemberI think you are right there about some men being around, can't exclude the blokes!! I was thinking of face masks, smellies but a beer here and there might go down well for some.
Waiting around all that time must be exhausting for both of you, but you have no one to wait on your aches and pains, specially the heart ones. Maybe a bubble bath with candles and smellies. Hoping you bought take away for tea instead of cooking, but hubby might not be up to eating atm. Sending warm thoughts @Former-Member
