Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear You made me giggle with neon hair, sleepy eyes and a surprise in the mirror. Sound really nice though, once you recognise yourself again. 😁😁😂😂
I’m sorry you can’t see psych face to face, but at least a phone call is contact.
Post crash, tired and time of the month all suck big time. 💙💙💙💙
I can only imagine the book costs, plus all the other stuff for school. 😞😞
Yes, words on paper instead of jumping around in my head feels good. I will see what counsellor thinks and go from there.
I don’t know how long I have to wait for the second specialist app. I’m not putting my hopes there like I did last time. Our hospital system is broken. People don’t matter to many, just money. I said as much in my letter.

Re: Taking the plunge
I have a feeling your counsellor will be high-fiving you for taking that stand and for speaking up. Even if you don't submit it and it stays as a penned letter, I see how huge it is to have done. It's not easy to see that you matter especially when you're treated like you don't by systems that should help. Totally understand not having much hope with this next specialist. I wish things were different 🙁
You mentioned yesterday that you are working at a new fundraiser. Is it far away from happening? It's such a lovely way to give back. You are a good person Maggie (a really good one 💜)
Any plans for this morning, before counsellor this arvo?

@CheerBear Krusty look lol. 👍👍👍
Yes, counsellor will high five the letter I think. She has such a deep respect for people. She knows wrong is happening in our world. All we can do is be kind and caring. And hope it wins over the other yukky stuff.
I don’t know when the fundraiser will be @CheerBear . I will paint and create as much as I can, but selling really isn’t my gift. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I will leave that part to the others.
Thanks for such kind words @CheerBear . I wish I could believe in myself a bit/lot more. I don’t see myself as good at all.
Plans for this morning are to find my kitchen @CheerBear . I went with that in mind yesterday, then spotted the nail polish, and it went pear shaped from there on in.

Re: Taking the plunge
Your counsellor is a gem. Her impact extends over the water between us.
I had a giggle with the nail polish turning things pear shaped. Totally relate! Yesterday it was hair colour for me. I had plans to tidy until the colourful tubes and pots put a stop to that. Today Middle and Little are playing with them (with me doing it for them). Middle wants all of the colours. Little wants hot pink 😊 Big isn't happy as their school won't allow it (which I grrr at).

Re: Taking the plunge
That’s strange @CheerBear littlies being allowed to colour their hair but not big. Weird. I only once coloured my hair. For some strange reason, which to this day I don’t understand, it went green. Husband ( then ) not impressed, so it was dyed back to its original. That wouldn’t happen today. 😁😁😁 I would put my foot down.
Thanks @CheerBear . I say that to others often. To hear/ see how others hear/ see you. There haven’t, and still aren’t positive voices irl. A work in progress/regress, depending on circumstances.
Yes, counsellor is a gem for sure. I wish everyone in the world had someone like her standing by their side.
I just had a flash of hot pink run through my mind @CheerBear 😁😁😁

Re: Taking the plunge
Green tends to be a colour many go-to accidentally when dying hair. Mine doesn't respond to bleach very well, no matter how strong it is, how long I keep in in and how many times I do it. It turns out so brassy (which is really annoying) and then impacts the colour I put over the top. Good thing I don't really care what happens. It's all an adventure 😄
I'm sorry then husband was not impressed. That makes me feel angry. When I was younger (pre-ex) I was pretty out there. He stomped on that big time. I look at the few pics I have of me at that time and can see the spark had been suffocated to almost non-existent. Leaving him was a chance to reclaim myself and hair, piercings, tattoos, twinkle toes etc. are part of that. Every time I do my hair I get a bit more of it back. I hope I never get in to a situation in which someone has that power and control over me again.
Sad there aren't positive voices irl for you. You deserve them (we all do). It really doesn't help when the "you don't matter" messages seem to be smashing around 😞
I better head out for a bit and maybe try and tidy even just a little. Kids still sleeping - it's very peaceful (but not for long).
So great to spend another morning with your company. Hope today is OK or better for you
