Re: Taking the plunge

Sometimes the wake up call is the only stop button we have left @CheerBear . The reality of what could have been, and it’s closness, can be scary. Tough lessons, but life is a tough teacher.

It took some time to get deep into the nothing world. It will take time to come back. The pic is a difficult one for me. Self care is an upside down way of thinking from the worlds I have come from. It’s so important to find care for self. It’s healthy, and it’s selfless, not selfish, as I was brought up to think.

Its jumbled, the bottom falling out of my world thing.

Today I will let happen. Not sure what it holds yet.

Re: Taking the plunge

I like that @Maggie, with tough lessons but life being a tough teacher. It's all learning for me even when I think I've learned enough. I'm learning that being that close to the end can be trauma in itself. Experiences like that teach so much but can also add fearing fear (this makes so much more sense in my head). It all adds layers to the layers 😏 I think people here (where I am) would like this break to have been a magic, now everything is back to normal and totally OK, thing but that's not the case for me. My normal isn't OK and will need some adjusting. And definitely time.

Self care is tough for me too. Hard not to feel selfish, hard to put myself first. Hard to hear others speak of it like it's easy, which many people do. It's also hard to face the consequences of not caring for yourself.

More hugs for the jumbled.

I remembered just a moment ago, that you visited me in a dream between when I was here at four something and when I woke up again. I got to show you my pixel dragon blanket in person. You being you made me feel really good about it 😊

Have you been crafting?

Re: Taking the plunge

I teared up with that one @CheerBear . I pixel dragon blanket in person. 💜💜 I.ll hold that thought today.....Thankyou.

I’ve turned the selfcare upside down and inside out @CheerBear Feeling selfish and then some. But at the end of the day, where is there anyone who will be there. I think, what you are saying about ‘everything being back to normal’ is, you are there for everyone now that ‘s it. The focus is them, not you. And it’s still, and will be for some time, about you.

I like the way you said ‘ fearing fear’. People could have been attending your funeral. Harsh, really harsh thought, but fact too. Nothing ‘normal’ about that. Some of us have to fight to self care, even fight ourselves. I don’t see it as easy at all.

I put my latest stones in the craft thread a few days ago, p,us a tiny pendant I painted. I didn’t tag anyone. It’s always a struggle, as I feel inferior about my abilities.

Re: Taking the plunge

I felt warm and fuzzy remembering your early morning visit @Maggie 😊

Thanks for getting it with all of the above. I get the jumble as much as I can, that you're going through too.

I haven't visited anywhere on the forum except here, for a while now. I will hunt, looking forward to seeing what I might. Feeling that struggle but doing it anyway - there's a lot to be said about that. I see your craftings only ever with these faces 😁😍😮🙂😊😇🤗😘 and a wish I could sit and craft in person with you.

I better head out for a while and do the things. So nice to see you this morning ❤

@CheerBear Dropping off a coffee. Hoping you are getting some needed sleep though.

I hope you were not in the heat yesterday. Unbelievable heat.

Kind of friend had some time off from caring, so we went for a short drive to the country. We stopped by a stream. The sound of the running water was so peaceful. It was hot, so no bird life anywhere.

I hope things at second home are going ok enough. Please remember to take care of you, where you can. 💜💜💜☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning 😊

How are you feeling about today @Maggie?

My world is a little bonkers at the moment but it could be worse. I did my 25th food shop yesterday and then spent most of the day in the kitchen. Kids on the countdown big time. Not long now.

Re: Taking the plunge

Ugg, the kitchen isn’t my favourite place at all @CheerBear 😫😫😫 I hope you get some pleasure out of it.

Nervous. What can I say. I’m always scraping paint off walls before any appointment.

Count down could be fun.

How are you holding up?❤️
