Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @CheerBear. Not as cold as yesterday, but chilly all the same.

I had a pj day yesterday, did nothing most of the day. 👍👍👍

How did your thingie at school go?

Hows things at 2nd home. And you don’t have to answer either question if you’d rather not. 💜💜

I have my first ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

I was going to add in to my first post that it isn't quite as icy here this morning as the last couple, and that I was hoping it was that way for you @Maggie 😊 Good to hear it is. Hoping that helps with your aches.

Big 👍 for pj days! Did you enjoy it?

School thing went well thanks. 100 ish 5-8 year olds for brekkie. Loud and cute. Little was so, so tired and very emotional all day after it as it was an all night thing for them.

Home 2 was pretty full on in a couple of ways. There was a big "when I'm gone you need to do..." conversation hit me. It's to do with my responsibilities when grandparent is also gone as parent wants me to step in to the role they would have if they were alive, knowing they probably won't be. The intensity on their face and in the tone of their voice with it... pressure and kind of full-on ness.

I am a bit venty and maybe a bit fragile this morning I think 😏

How's today looking for you?

First here too 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I felt a lump in my throat reading your deep and meaningful. 💕💕💕 stepping into ‘roles’ and ‘responsibilities ‘, when you are already overloaded. A really tough conversation. Big feels from me for the full on ness. 💜💜💜

Gosh 100 ish 5-8 yr olds for brekky, wow. Yes cute and loud. I hope little gets some needed rest today. I hope you do, I really hope you do.💕💕💕

You have a double gig this week don’t you?

I don’t often have pj days, but yesterday was one of those’ can’t be bothered’, so I went with the mood. I took pain meds, just knocks the edge off. It’s when it hits my spine that it gets tricky, sticky, yukky. I see a specialist in just over a week, can’t believe I’m looking forward to that.🙃🙃🙃

Re: Taking the plunge

You get it @Maggie, with the bang that can come with hearing those responsibilities. I feel sad at the "when I'm not here" stuff. The "you will need to do..." on top of it - full on. He meant well but said that he'll channel himself and I'll feel his presence when I'm doing what he's asked me to. I thought about all the ways my banana brain works and all the shoulds and must-do's that have been problematic for me for as long as I can remember. So many come from his expectations of me. To think they'll still be there even when he isn't made me feel scared I guess. Probably silly, but I think you might get it too.

Sorry. Thanks for listening ❤

I have a double gig week and a treatmwnt week, and a big awards night for Big. I'm feeling the pressure in my chest. I could have dropped the extra gig but it's the one thing for me I can do and I want to do. It's going to a be a big and busy week, needing army style organising with us all here and there and everywhere :face_with_rolling_eyes: I'll look at it all this afternoon and make lists for my lists 😉

Glad you got to go with the mood yesterday, though sorry the mood has probably come from the toughness it has. Pain in your spine sounds super yucky 🙁 So hard to move around and get comfortable I imagine, and making little things hard. Just over a week is good. Is there an outcome youre hoping for from that appointment or will it be the kind of thing thats see what they say?

Heading to the kettle - top up?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Not silly at all. I would, and do, freak out with the ‘ channeling ‘ stuff. I think some comes with being a sensitive caring person. We ‘want and like’ to help, but get overloaded with everyone’s and then some, expectations. No need for sorry @CheerBear .

Hang on to your extra gig @CheerBear , it’s for you, that’s really important this week💙💙. It’s a full on week. Sounds like a ‘ one step at a time ‘. You can only do your best. Do you see your psych this week, a debriefing might be helpful.

I do lists, they help me remember .🙃🙃

I’m hoping the specialist will start me on RA meds. I’ve done X-ray and other tests, hopefully he has those results. I’m usually meds resistant, so hoping that’s not the case here. I had an allergic reaction to the last one I tried. So. 🙃🙃🙃 process of illumination there. But at least it’s a start. 👍👍

Re: Taking the plunge

Love that pic above @Maggie 😊❤

Everything crossed they can find something helpful for you (that you don't react to!) for the pain.

Just sat with coffee listening to venting from my well person. It's all a bit big and hard right now. I feel so torn sometimes in lots of ways, between people, places, feelings, thoughts...

I'm going to head out and take my kind of scattered brain and heart out to organise stuff. Psych wants me to challenge the compulsive need I have to create some kind of order in the chaos. To me it's a coping mechanism, albeit a tiring one. It's how I get through sometimes (as I imagine it is for many) so challenging that is not going to happen this week and I'm OK with that 🙂

Hope there's some warmth and comfort in your day Maggie, some rain in yours Sherry, and some good for all

❤
