Re: Taking the plunge
Hi @Faith-and-Hope
It's great to have your support - I understand about tanks running low - with all you have on your plate that has to happen from time to time
Can you get to the coffee shop today for a refill of caffeine at least - I always find a coffee helpful - maybe it's just stopping for a break to drink it or maybe it's the caffeine fix as well
All the best Faith -
Dec
Coffee - what would we do without it?

Hey @Owlunar ,
I love Ice Coffee in the warmer weather 🙂
Thanks for your messages, its nice to see you around on the forums.
Do you have anything on this weekend?
I've started a new map on google and am 'pinning' all the nice spots I want to visit in Oz. 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge
Hey @Former-Member , yeah, no air con, its an older ute and like that when I got it. The guy disconnected one of the hoses as the coolant was leaking inside the cab, I haven't got around to having a look at it. I will keep an eye on the Pom and make sure she doesn't wilt, the first part of the voyage is through rainforest and up the escarpment and usually its a good few degrees cooler up there as well.
Bit of a catch 22 with the Marilyn, i'd love to see it finished, but, not sure if you have another project to kick off! Will you have many leftover drills? I had a buttload on nearly all of the projects I have done. Maybe you could do some experimenting with those if you get a bit toey 🙂
I don't always take my DP's to the farm as I worry about them getting creased and also dusty as I do travel 20-30kms on dirt. I normally take the smaller partial ones, like last visit i did a book and an owl. Not sure I posted the owl or not. I have a jellyfish and tree with special drills so I will do the latter over the weekend. I'm really looking forward to doing the jellyfish as I like how it 'extrudes' from the frame.
I posted the autumn one on Outlanders thread last night. Its been a lot of fun doing that one. I saw a map of the north coast and the fires just before, you can hardly see the coast or the state with all the darn fires. I hope the smoke isn't too bad for you. Congrats on your anniversary. Really hoping your dad is okay.
Take care and thanks for all the support. 🙂 ![]()

Hi @CheerBear ,
Thanks for the kind thoughts. How are the sparkle boots going? I trust you haven't been sleeping in them 🙂 I am looking forward to the drive as usual, means work is done for the week and I have a few days out in the bush to relax and unwind. Think I might have to organise a long weekend between now and xmas though 🙂
I am glad that you have had a chance to get closer to your family during this diffucult time, thats how it should be, but, sadly not always how things happen.

@Maggie
Thanks for your kind words and 🌧🌧🌧☔️☔️💦💦 🙂
It's always lovely to hear from you and to see you supporting so many people on the forums. Fingers crossed the ups and downs with your living arrangements draws to a positive close and outcome and you can find some well deserved space and peace.
I think the weather might be a bit cooler than expected, its always pretty nice here on the coast with a sea breeze.
Reciprocating with the 💜💜💜☕️☕️☕️ and hoping you don't run out of tea and coffee 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge
That's great @CheerBear , nothing like a pair of comfy shoes or boots 🙂
I've had this pair of joggers for a good while now, i really like them as they don't have normal laces, just this elastic string stuffs. First pair i've had like that. I got some for my brother as I thought it would help him, but, for some reason he reckons they were to small. Anyway, I will be able to use them so not a total waste lol 🙂
I had this mental image of a pair of sparkly boots sticking over the side of the bed and bedazzling everyone with the sparkliness lol 😉
I'm glad you like the jellyfish, it's 40x50 (partial) and I can't wait to do it.. trying to hold off as long as possible so I have one to fiddle with when I start some of the large ones I have in my stockpile.
