Re: Taking the plunge
I'd be disappointed and then some and some more if I was where you are with it. There's so much that's not right about it all, and one of those is the way it makes you turn it inwards and starting second guessing and doubting yourself. Do you have your counsellor coming this week to talk about it with?

Re: Taking the plunge
Can you head back to bed once the crew are at school @CheerBear ? Hard having to push through when you are unwell. That’s the side of meetings etc it’s hard to describe on forms or to interviewers. The behind the scenes of trauma.
Yes, my counsellor comes tomorrow morning. We will talk it through, I know, but it changes nothing.
I think I’ve been triggered by grass policeman. It’s not that he’s done anything in particular, but it’s bringing up stuff my ex used to do. Passive/aggressive, gaslighting. Nothing you can be really specific about, it’s just there, uncomfortable. I don’t like going back there for any reason.
I’ll look for colour somewhere today, not sure where, but I’ll look.
Cold and windy again today, but not too bad.
Topup. ☕️☕️☕️💕💕💕

Re: Taking the plunge
I hear you with the triggers that is things like grass police and how it can take you back to people/places/times. It's a feeling for me, like a twist or turn or snap inside. Nothing specific, nothing to pinpoint exactly, but a lot feeling off in a lot of ways and the flow on effect of that is big and so misunderstood/not seen by many 🙁 I wonder if the housing situation has added to it too. Someone else having control, mixed messages, confusion, uncertainty... It's not right and I'm so sorry you are there.
Really cold here this morning. Beanie weather, especially once most of my hair goes down as short as it will. I dropped a level with the clippers last time and will do it again this time. It's kind of a tough, don't mess with me look and a bit like armour for me.

Re: Taking the plunge
I smiled with the haircut @CheerBear . I’ve actually done the bald look 😁😁😁, no 1and two on clippers. It’s a bit longer atm because it was a long cold winter. I’ve clipped the dog instead. She has the ‘ don’t mess with me look’. 😁😁👍👍
I hope the hairdresser is a treat kind of thing for you. Maybe a coffee afterwards???
The grass policeman makes me over the top angry. Way more than ‘ don’t walk on the grass ‘ stuff. Male dominating/controlling :pile_of_poo::pile_of_poo: He’s done some sneaky things to many here. So not right. But they need to speak up.

Good morning @CheerBear and @Maggie , @Former-Member and @outlander
Just having a coffee here too ... don't have all those good icons on my laptop so ...

@CheerBear your hair style really does sound like 'don't mess with me'. Hope you get a good response from the real estate head office.
@Maggie I gather you are looking for a new place through public housing. Really hope you get an offer soon.

It's total :pile_of_poo: Maggie. The whole damn lot of it. I'm angry with you. I'd speak up and alongside you if I was there 😡🙁 Hold on to those acts of resistance.
I'm feeling ugh still. It's a post stuff crash I think and knowing I need a proper break. It could help reset so much as now I'm in a whatever, burn it all down funk. The break came up a lot yesterday with GP and family support worker. There's a big gap for sole parents to fall through there.
Heading off to the shower. ❤ to you for the day ahead and to all who might come by

Re: Taking the plunge
I'm ok thanks @Maggie feeling a bit slow this morning but don't have to go anywhere until 1.30. Will meet with my peer mentor from the community disability alliance this afternoon (have a support worker to take me) and show her my WRAP - wellness recovery action plan - which needs a good tidy up before then so will get onto it this morning once I'm fully awake.
What do you have on today?
Edit : SNAP! @CheerBear we posted at the same time. Hope your day has good bits in it (sounds like it will) - I always find getting my hair cut quite therapeutic - always go for the full wash and massage. I'm cheeky, I tell them I massaged for nearly 30 years so they go all out to show me their skill! No complaints from me!

Re: Taking the plunge
@eth Yes, I’ve been in priority with housing for a year now. I’m now at the top of priority, so, yes, hoping.
Coffee here is good. No drama lama 👍👍👍👍
Hows your day looking??
