Re: Taking the plunge
Mondayitis @CheerBear I hope it doesn’t drag on through the day. 🤞🤞🤞
Sound good with sibling. Must be a good feeling to be able to help out. Who knows, this might be the start of something great for both of you. Knowing you can live with them is a really good start. 💕💕
I got pretty worked up with green police yesterday, in my head. It was really hard to walk on the grass when told to use the path, which is in the opposite direction to where I was going. But heart pounding etc, I did it. 💪💪
The sad part is, it’s the only time I venture out, apart from going out with kind of friend, which I use the path for. People just like to be control freaks, but I’ll hold my own. It needs to be a public announcement for all residents, not just me. Everyone uses the track. 🤐🤐🤐🤐
Anyway, I’m ready for first light, that way I avoid him.
Any plans for today?
I have a new painting student next Sunday. Another 86 yr old, not quite as enthusiastic as my usual, but I think she will catch the bug. The kinda class that visit have asked me to teach the kids next mth. I said yes, but I’m really nervous, as there will be 4 teachers and two small classes of kids, kinda and about 8 yr olds. But I’ll get some practice in before hand, and be over organised. 😩😩 Part of me is excited also. I wish my emotions were straightforward instead of twisted.

I can see how green police would have you really worked up 🙁 It's not OK to have someone use power and control like that and it's not OK for you to have to have a pounding heart around what should be a safe place for you. It's hard enough to venture out and I can only imagine how much harder it is to venture out with the worry of an encounter like that. Really feeling the feels of it with you 🙁
I had a smile hearing of your new student and the class. That's super exciting but yes, nervous causing. I spend big chunks of my day with kids that age and I would still have the excited and nervous feels. It's awsome that you're sharing the paint good around as you are. If you'd like a test runner or an idea bouncer for the class, I can try and help out. I have smaller ones around that age who I can ask to try some dot patterns with 🙂
Not a huge amount on for me today. Middle has their first appointment with the psych after saying they'd like to go. They're taking in slime to show them, as a way of relationship building and ice breaking. Any time Middle gets to talk about slime they feel connected so 🤞there. I have a little work to do for my gig too, which I will look at today. And washing folding. So. Much. Washing. :face_with_rolling_eyes:
How about you? How's your day looking (after your tree visit?)

Re: Taking the plunge
I'm thinking you might be out in the grass @Maggie , or preparing yourself to be. Or maybe reading this after your venturing has happened. I hope it's OK as it can be.
I'll leave this here as I head out to tackle lunchboxes.
I think someone should sneak in and do this ⬆️ to the green police. Maybe he needs a smile in his day 😉😁💪🐶🌳❤

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear Tree visit done 👍👍✔️:pile_of_poo: Confused puppy, but she’s ready anytime. 💜
I had a smile reading your night last night with sibling. Shared chores, laughs, netifix. All nice feels. A safe loved space is such a gift, a sense of belonging. Basic human needs. You are a special @CheerBear. Not everyone would be that generous and caring. I think they are the importent things to hang on to with some priority/values thinking. The big stuff that matters, but it costs too. Sharing/caring, respect. Core values maybe.
I would appreciate a test runner, idea bouncer. I’m guessing motor skills are a bit tricky, so fiddley could be tricky. Little having a go would really help. 😍😍😍
Big decision for middle. Mixed emotions for you both I guess. There’s always slime to the rescue. When all else fails, reach for the slime. 😁😁😁 I hope it goes well. My counsellor does heaps of kid counselling. Makes all sorts of pretties. Special skills needed.
Gig prep will be a bit of distraction. Hope tomorrow is a good one.
I will see kind of friend this afternoon, walk puppies and pick up some stuff she needs to. Not much else today.
I saw a beautiful sunrise coming back from tree drop. Pinks and blues. I love the sky.

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks for getting it with sibling. I think opening the house to them is part of my values dilemma thing as I also value my privacy and time alone (and control etc). You're right with those core values. Sharing, caring, respect, love... they matter to me, more than the others I think, and I'd like to share them or show them to the kids.
I've pinned some ideas for Little and I to test run some rocks 😁 Middle will likely join in too. Looking forward to it!
I wanted to call by also to say Middle did so well meeting the psych. They wanted me to come in and I watched them talk about slime, share their specialist slime knowledge then build up to offer more including some tough stuff they weren't made to talk about but wanted to. They enjoyed it (definitely when all else fails turn to slime 😁) and wanted another appointment so it's booked again for 2 weeks time. I'm not a huge fan of the psych but I realise I would be almost impossible to totally please with this one so as long as Middle is happy, so am I. As a bonus my family support worker was in the office and after the appointment we bumped into her so she could meet Middle. I'm that much of a mumma bear that in over 6 months of working together she still hasn't met any of them. I trust her enough now though and it felt really good to introduce her to one of the three biggest loves of my life 😊
Annnnyway, tricky thing done and the week off to a decent start here ✔
I really hope you go OK with kind of friend today and that getting out is a helpful distraction. Your sunrise sounded beautiful. I love the sky too 💙🌈🌕☀️🌠

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear So pleased for middle, You, middle, slime and psych, all the important stuff.
I can understand the muma bear stuff, protecting the three loves of your life is the biggest feels. You know when it’s right. 💕💕
I’ve turned my bedroom around. Painting table near the window for more light. Chest of draws out of the wardrobe so I have a place for more stuff. 😩😩
Heading out with kind of friend now, which will be good to get away from here for a bit.
Yes, everyone was asleep when we visited the tree. No heart palpitation. Severe people allergies. 👍👍👍
Decent start to the week. ✔️✔️✔️

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks. No sparkles just yet, but soon. I have to try and find something to wear actually, as the weather has turned to warm/hot 🤔😏
How's it going for you this morning? How was your yesterday and time with kind of friend?
