Re: Taking the plunge

Pearl extract powder sounds very interesting @Maggie. So many beautiful crafty arty supplies out there but the price of some/many are outrageous. Not having to worry about $ would make a big difference to how life feels I think 😏

It's so important to me to be able to make space for sibling and for them to have a room that's home (as home as it can be for just a room). This will come with challenges but I think it's important to work them out so we can give this. I've been thinking heaps about the thread I started on values, and all of the replies in it, including your very thoughtful and helpful one. So many pulls in lots of ways and so many directions happening at the moment.

Sibling and I were having a half-laugh/laugh-cry at the weather matching the situation. Words about 'the winds of change' happened a lot yesterday.

I need about eleventy million top ups today 😉

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I was talking to my counsellor on Friday about values and situation. I know my personal situation is different to yours, but we were talking about the consequences of challenging the manager. I know there are lots of wrong things here, I know they know also. But challenging is beyond me. Then we talked about how the law is really in place for those who keep it, not those who don’t. They don’t care. It’s stuff that looks and sounds good on paper , in court, unless you do a biggie. Some consequence for personal safety/wellbeing are essential. Sad, but true.

That might not make a whole lot of sense. I find it hard to get stuff out of my head. It rattles around in there and sounds ok ish, til I try to explain it. Then 🙃🙃🙃

Could be good with sibling, yes challenging, but life seems to be one challenge after the other for some. An adult to talk things through with understanding and care, plus, someone who knows you. I really hope it’s a positive move for all of you. 💜💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge

That makes so much sense @Maggie and sounds and reads more than ok-ish. For the differences here there are lots of similarities. My family support worker and I spoke about the law on Friday also. She said the owner and agent behaviour was against the law. I kind of chuckled at that, thinking along the same lines as you and your counsellor. For me with this one, like so many other situations, we have rights but exercising them can have big consequences. Hearing all about the rights but knowing the consequences from experience makes my brain go pop. I'm thinking that perhaps you feel and experience that too. I wonder who consequence free rights are actually reserved for.

Big stuff to think about. I wish we could challenge safely. More than that I wish we didn't have to challenge in the first place :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Thanks for getting it, though I'm sorry it comes from that place of experience 💚

Re: Taking the plunge

It’s tough @CheerBear . They know they have the winning card.

Just saw grass police. He told me to walk on the path. The cement one. I walked on the grass, the green one, twice. 💪💪🐶🐶 Can’t be bothered with power chasing people, who want to make themselves look more important than they are. I do obey rules, I’ve gone out of my way to do so all my life, but I won’t be bossed around by menacing people who walk on the grass themselves. Doesn’t work that way. Rave over. 🙃🙃

I hope your heart finds some sunshine today. Warm and sparkly, as well as boots. 💕💜💕🌻🌻

Re: Taking the plunge

So glad you didn't walk on the concrete if you wanted to walk on the grass instead @Maggie. I would have wanted to do the same thing.

Bossing and menacing and double standards - they're not right and it shouldn't work that way.

Go you 💪💪❤

I hope you find some sunshine also, and some peace in all of the everything-ness ❤

Good morning @CheerBear heading to the kettle for a second if you are up for your first. ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

How did your yesterday go, with moving and stuff, if you want to talk about it. 🧳🧳🧳

I’ll be heading down to the tree at first light this morning, to avoid green police. 🤪🤪🤪

Re: Taking the plunge

Morning @Maggie 🙂❤

Very up for a cup now. I'm feeling a bit like I'll need to drag myself through the morning, but maybe I just need to wake up a bit.

Yesterday went well thanks. Sibling has a pretty nice and practical room here now, which I think would feel better for them to know they have. I think we can work this out so it works for us all. If there's anyone I can live with it's them 🤞

How's that cuppa looking now? I'm thinking the early second might say a little about how you're doing this morning, but I could be wrong.

How was yesterday for you? Ugh green police :face_with_rolling_eyes:😑😖 It's so sucky that you need to do that.
