Re: Taking the plunge

That loop sounds hard @Gazza75. I hope you get out of going to the city. I'm super not a fan of being in the city either. Sounds like it's a decent trip there for you too 😏

I've decided magnet fishing maybe isn't for me. I can see myself falling into water too easily haha. Metal detecting though 🤔 YouTube has also convinced me that buying lost luggage could be fun. And abandoned storage units 😉😆

Still no water here and it's almost time for the kids to come home. Electrician thinks the switch will keep tripping if it the safety box thingy isn't separated more but whether the owner actually approves that is anyone's guess. I'm so, soooo over today/this week/this month... 😑

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear, It's a fair old hike to the 'city'. I'm only going 3/4 of the way really and its about 1.5 hours.

Maybe you could combine the metal detecting and lost luggage!! lol 🙂

I have seen one of those American storage unit shows, it seems like an odd thing to do.. I guess if you get lucky you might stumble across something antique and nice. The one I saw the guy thought he'd come across this expensive liquour still devive, it turned out to be an olive press!

I'd also be a be a little wary of creepy crawlies in those units, and in summer they are boiling if they aren't in a building or shed. Definitely be wearing some sparkle boots to venture in those places!

I think the owner would be obligated to pay for and install whatever needs doing to fix the water situation. It's a necessity !! It's been a rough few weeks for you and your family that's for sure. I hope the landlord gets his stuffs together rapidly.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Still no hot water or power. Seriously a very bad landlord. I hope by now something is working, but your last post was only 1 hr ago. Really feeling the pressure with you, so wrong. Sending these ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’ll leave the coffee for now. Will check later if you are up to sharing.

@Gazza75 Hope work is done for the day/weekend for you. 💜💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge

I've had a lovely escale with luggage and storage and magnets today @Gazza75 😁 I too hope work has finished up/is about to finish up for you and it feels good to have the weekend ahead of you ❤

I was just about to come over this way to say that finally we have water and it's hot and should stay that way @Maggie (and @Gazza75 as you've listened to the venting too).

The property manager isn't happy to let the owners get away with not calling an electrician for the power issues or with me just taping the light switch that I think is the issue so I can avoid the owner. That's a problem for another day now. Hot water is good 🙂 Psych got back to me a moment ago too which has helped. Thanks heaps for listening and getting it as you've done so much of ❤

Hope coffee and getting out was OK (there's a ? there if you'd like to share but OK if not).

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I hope the light switch is safe, but yes, hot water for today is good, very good. Also your psych getting back to you. Maybe it’s time your luck changed. I hope so.

Getting out was good, unfortunately we are back into winter, rain, wind and very cold. I have a heated wheat bag, feet up watching tv atm.

Rest tonight @CheerBear dropping off ☕️☕️☕️☕️💕💕💕💕💜

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear So pleased you finally have hot water back CB but not good you are still having electrical issues. Just another thing that the owner is dragging his feet on and that is more than frustrating

@Maggie @Gazza75 Good evening to you both.

Sending you all love and hugs tonight

Morning @Maggie Woken early by a little fluffball this morning barking at me - that is very unusual for Toby so of course I was up straight away. Have fed both fur babies and opened the back door for them both so can try to get some more sleep soon. Hope you have some good in your day Hon

@CheerBear Hope you have been enjoying having hot water back CB - it is one of those little things in ilfe that make so much difference to how we get through the day. Hugs and hugs to you, your LF and all the puddy tats

@Gazza75 Hope there is good in your day too mate. Enjoy this Sunday before the dreaded heading back to work tomorrow
