Re: Taking the plunge
Lots of hugs @Former-Member. Sounds like a crash for you too, though little time for letting the crash come and go 🙁
No hot water yet @Maggie. No water at all or gas. The power started playing up too so that went also. Electricians called. I'm sitting here wondering where the push point is, where things are too much, not just feel too much. Psych will help (if/when he calls back).
I hope coffee with kind of friend is OK enough. I'll have to head out for coffee (and a working toilet) soon I think.

Re: Taking the plunge
1/2 done @CheerBear so can't complain! 🙂
Going rather quickly which is somewhat good.
How about you? Sounds like not much more could go wrong in one of your houses at least!
Maybe it could be 3rd time/house lucky! 😉
Anything on for your weekend?
Have you figured out the bike rack thing yet? I think its some kind of Harry potter magic as it surely can't just gravity holding the bikes on. Not sure I'd trust something like that, I had have to put 2 ratchet straps around them just to be sure they didn't come off.
Lucky I have a ute and I'd just check em in the back lol 🙂
I have to go the city 2 X next week, not looking forward to that at all. My manager just tried to make me do 3 hours of travel each way to go some bulls@$t training course. I was like no way! Work something else out lol
I've travelled far too much in the last 10-15 years and I won't be coerced into unnecessary BS ! 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge
Are you working today @Gazza75 ?
Lol with the Harry Potter magic. I don't know what ratchet straps are but I got red strap thingies with a fiddly tied up bit on the end and tied them around the wheels to stop them spinning and to secure my bike. I was able to get mine on and Middles but I was so scared of the window pushing in I just took mine. I need mine and Big's to get on it as I can fit Middle and Little's in the boot. Long story short - I got halfway through working it out but haven't had it in me to try again. It looks like this:
City x 2 doesn't sound fun 😏 neither does being coerced into BS!
My day is annoying and I'm tired. I'm watching magnet fishing on YouTube though which is interesting and making me want to go and get magnets to play with. A metal detector could be fun too 😁

Re: Taking the plunge
Yep I am working today @CheerBear . I am in the mon-fri grind/loop/hell.
I'm not sure what that thing is you posted, looks like some kind of NASA device. I think if you get 1 on there, then it should be the same process for bike 2 and 3. Understand the window fear though!
Ratchet straps are what people / tradies / truckies use to secure loads, they are super strong, ratings from 20kg to 5-10 tonnes for big stuff. I've had to figure out how to use them the last few years. I used to worry about putting them on the wrong way and stuff flying off when I was heading down the road.
If you feel like magnet fishing, go for it! My friend had a metal detector, but, never found gold on my place. I'd get an underwater one, you can find heaps of trinkets, cold and stuff then at beaches. I saw a guy doing that who made a buttload of money from it.
No fun in the city. I dislike going up there immensely. I'll be digging my heals in, have no fear lol 🙂
I hope you can sort out the bike stuff, be lots of fun riding with family/kids 🙂 ![]()
