Re: Taking the plunge

Yesterday was good thanks @Maggie. I'm sure all of my crew had fun doing completely different things, and I had a great afternoon and evening with Little. Little slept in my bed and we fell asleep watching our devices. I'm watching a doco series on immigration in America under Trump and finding it seriously heart hurty. Just noticed @Sans911 has watched it too. It's very sad and hard to believe how badly people are treated. (That post took a turn sorry!)

It is the last day of holidays here. I'm expecting today might be a little tricky with kids dragging feet and with the clocks changing but it will be good to have some routine again. Not too sensitive - I wish they'd have a standard/same for school things (and many other things) across the country too.

How's the day ahead looking for you today?

Posted at the same time again @Maggie 😁

I hope the tidying felt good to get done and well done on getting to painting with neighbour. That understanding of horrible no good very bad mornings would have been so nice for her to have sat with you having.

How often do you have new residents? I can imagine that could throw lots of different and tricky around in lots of ways.

Re: Taking the plunge

Yes @CheerBear new residents are tricky, but it was how close she came to my face, so simple a thing and my nerves started that giggling embarrassing thing. Then she did the same to neighbour and I was hopelessly smiling into paint tubes. It’s a strange reaction I have, I think it’s a not bursting into tears for no reason, and smiling is more acceptable. An adrenaline rush, a trigger with no reasons, or understanding reasons. ☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear Sorry, I’m all over the place today.

The doco sounds really really sad. I hate when people are mistreated. People who are suffering through unbearable hardships. Sometimes I get so angry with how the world is. People are second to money.

A few mths ago I heard Trump said he was the chosen one from god. He’s said lots of things that have thrown me during his time in office, but that showed how delusional he is, how arrogant and out of touch. Sad for Americans and the world.

Yey to the end of school holidays and you have done it. Well done you. 💕💜👍👍👍

I guess today will be organising and things going in all directions.

Re: Taking the plunge

Oh wow @Maggie. I didn't realise you meant literally when you said 'very close face'. Far out that's tricky. I would not cope with that at all 😑 Your reaction sounds very understandable and protective. Mine would likely be an exploding fireball reaction or total freeze (though my money would be on the fireball which isn't so good for anyone). Giggles and smiles sound helpful in lots of ways, though still tricky for you.

I have so many questions about where you are (like how many people live there, how you all came to.be there, what kinds of ages etc) but I don't want to ask things you can't or don't want to answer.

Re: Taking the plunge

Haha we're both a bit all over the place today @Maggie. It happens 😊

I find it so hard to think of Trump being leader. It make a me feel sick. I hate mistreatment too and it makes me angry, so angry. This might sound silly but another reason I am finding it hard to watch is for the similar themes I experienced here (the fleeing, the prison feeling of refuge, the judgment, the control etc) though I get my experiences pale in comparison. I wish the world was different.

Is your counsellor back this week? I might have missed a week in there, sorry.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I don’t mind questions about here at all. There are 55 residents here, ages range from 55 up. I came to be here because it was thought, at the time, supportive accommodation would be helpful. Oh how wrong that has turned out to be.

People are here for all sorts of reasons, some recuperating from surgery or stroke. Many struggling with MH issues. Others ageing, needing close neighbours.

Its perfect for some here, as they don’t like being on their own, and having people around is really helpful.

Unfortunately, I’m a very private person. I’m very hard to get to know, I get told that ALOT.

So close living is a nightmare. Just taking washing to the laundry has become an issue. Shared laundry. You know all those times you’ve wished for more legs and hands, then they appear, and you’re tripping over invisible limbs, dropping stuff , wishing you could disappear. That kind of stuff.

Dont get me started on the dining room, food and green police. Plus it’s soooo small. Lore like a corridor that a flat.

@CheerBear I don’t think your experience is pale in comparison at all. I think it’s every bit as bad, and worse. I guess I hoped evolution of the human species would bring more compassion and freedom, but it’s bring control and greed instead. Harsh.

I received an email from my counsellor yesterday. She’s back in Australia and once rested, will be in touch. Felt so good to read that.

Good morning @Maggie @CheerBear @Former-Member @Zoe7 @Former-Member @outlander @hope you all have a nice Sunday. I am not sure if my phone adjusted itself with daylight savings. I always get confuzzled with the change of times, I should have it all sorted by now!

I am a bit miffed cos I somehow managed to get a crack in it already. I don't even remember dropping it anywhere bad. Don't make them like they used to lo

First time in months I have gotten to the gym early. We have had some nice rain here on the coast. Hopefully some is falling out west, I am close to having no tank water at my farm. I actually bought bottles.of water for my last expedition. I may have to pump water across from my shed if no rain falls.

Anyway I better wrap this up. Take care. ♥️♥️☕☕🌼🌼
