@CheerBear Coffee is ready if you would like a cuppa. Never any obligation though.

How are you this morning? And how was the cave day yesterday?

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear I’m listening to blackbirds singing outside my door. Such a beautiful sound first thing.
My cave day didn’t really happen. I’m too unsettled for a cave. Too many thoughts racing around in my head. I can’t keep up. 😍😍😍
I spent the afternoon with kind of friend. Lots happening with her friends mother, but nothing anyone can really do. You have to want help, otherwise no one can help. One of those situations.
How is first home going?. Is rocket cat helping with coffee this morning? Any diamond painting done by big? Lots of questions. 💜💕💜☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
Love the birds in the morning @Maggie 😊 There are so many singing away here this morning.
Too unsettled for the cave sounds tricky. As does the situation with kind of friend 🙁
I'm at second home again (I find it hard to keep up with myself!) and had a puppy help with coffee by knocking it all over me 😏 There are two here at the moment and they're pretty boisterous sometimes. No diamond painting yet but Middle has a little one now too. I think they'll enjoy it once they get started. Good school holiday activity if they do. I managed to do some crochet and almost finish my frogged Sophie centre. I'm happier with these colours 😊
How's your day looking today?

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear Boisterous puppies and coffee......you’re off to a good start. 😍😍
Crochet center sounds great. I thought the one you did and frogged was amazing, but I understand the colour thing. It’s hard blending, and feeling good about it yourself.
Diamond painting might bring some magic over the holiday. Some are beautiful.😍😍😍
Today will just happen I think. I have painting this afternoon with my neighbour, so will get ready for that.🥺🥺🥺
Yes a tricky situation with kind of friend/ friends mother. The drs and nurses in both public and private hospitals have told her she’s the worst patient they have ever had. Nothing and no one is ever right, she knows everything. That kind of person. 😩😩😩
Top up. ☕️☕️☕️☕️

Re: Taking the plunge
Thanks re the Sophie 😊 I was happy to be able to make it (just a written pattern for this) and happier to have it come up easier the second time. Really glad you inspired me to try again with her. I'm really enjoying it.
Gosh that sounds really hard with the mother 🙁 I can't imagine hearing "worst patient" would be a helpful thing to hear, though I can see how it might be validating to hear for those trying to care for her if they're struggling with that. Is this a situation where an older person wants independence but isn't making the most safe decisions kind of thing?
I got to cuddle a very new person yesterday. He's so squeaky and mini 😍 It was the first newbie I've held since I made the toughest decision I've ever made so I flagged it as potentially tricky. It turned out to be probably the first time I wasn't clucky, or wishing mine were that small again or wanting one of my own. I was so happy to hold him and just as happy to pass him back, which was a great feeling 🙂
Are you and neighbour working on giant rock today?

Re: Taking the plunge
@CheerBear Yes. Older person making things really hard for everyone involved. She’s scared, I get that. It’s a fine line of respecting her wishes, hoping she’s safe home alone, and being close enough to help, if possible. Very sad. Life gets tricky.
Cuddling a new person. I can imagine potential tricky feels with that. 😍😍😍 I have to admit, I like them a little older. My foster daughter, who I had from 12 days to 9 mths, cured me big time.😩😩😩 I haven’t held a tiny one since, too hard there, though I wouldn’t change the situation either. She still lives close to my heart 30+ years later. 💕💜💜
Giant rock is going through many mind changes. A normal process with my neighbour. It all just happens, not my best situation, I like to be prepared, but challenging in a positive way. 🤔🤔
