Re: Taking the plunge

Wise choices are often the better choices @Maggie, and I'm sure you know the right thing for you to do ❤ I hope it's OK enough today. Oh craft supplies can be very haystacky! I hope your lounge room repackaging goes well. I have a lot of that to do too!

We'll spend lots of time here over the next two weeks. Between my volunteer gig, unwell person's appointments and some fun together time, it will be our second home. I'll spend lots of time driving between but it's worth it.

❤ and ☕ for the day ahead. Catch you later 😊

How are you both this morning? How was your painting Maggie?

Re: Taking the plunge

You don’t have to pop in quietly @outlander, how are you, if you want to say....or not...is ok. Cuppa tea. ☕️☕️☕️☕️💜💜💜

Re: Taking the plunge

A rough night here @CheerBear so pleased to see the half moon shining through my window.

Painting was ok ish. @CheerBear My neighbour has a stone she wants to paint for a birthday present . The spiral pattern messed with her head a bit, but by row five, the light bulb moment, and she was away with it.

How are you doing.?

Re: Taking the plunge

Couldn't agree more @outlander, with there not being a need for a quiet pop in, unless that's what is right for you ❤

Sorry you had a rough night @Maggie 🙁 I love the mornings as they are the end of what's often a rough night.

I can imagine you having lots of patience and gentle while you sit with your neighbour (and anyone you sit with). Birthday present stone is a lovely idea.

I'm OK thanks. I had a long day yesterday (lots of driving) but it was kind of nice. I was asked to bring my paints and canvas here to do some today with unwell person. They are so into it it's awesome!

Re: Taking the plunge

Not sure where you are atm @CheerBear gathering yesterday was a here there and everywhere day. You might be back with unwell person, paints and canvas, and time to create memories and fun. 😁😁😁

I think today we start the big rock. So testing paint and getting started will be challenging. She’s never done anything creative before, so her joy is a privilege to be a small part of. Yes, lots of patience required. I don’t mind as long as people give it a go.

i tried working with another lady months back with paper craft. She just couldn’t start, even though I made a template of the pattern. I just got stuck not knowing where to go. Fear of failing I guess. Maybe I’m just used to it, failing. 🤔🤔🤔

Re: Taking the plunge

I am back at the second home today @Maggie. Yesterday Big had a party somewhere at our home way, so we drove there for that then back here. Unwell person was in emergency all day and into the night so we also picked up some stuff for them then went there for a bit too. Plenty of car and music time. I'll head home again myself later tonight as I picked up an extra shift at my volunteer gig tomorrow. Might even get an afternoon and evening on my own tomorrow night between my two shifts 🤞😁 Dotting will be great memories today I think. The weather isn't great for kids on holidays but there are things they can do here if they'd like though I don't mind them not doing a lot for a little while as they need some down time too.

How big is the big rock? Do you add anything to the paint to stop it running? I had dribbly paint issues when I did my rock. I so get how enjoyable it is to see and be part of someone discovering the joy of creating and arting and crafting. That's just like the joy that's coming from unwell person at the moment ❤ I think of you often when I hear of my two people spending calm time together dotting. You brought that into this house 😊

I'm sorry you have the fear of failing and that you're used to failing. Gosh it's a hard one to challenge and to overcome 🙁

Re: Taking the plunge

Sorry unwell person was in emergency all day yesterday, big worry there @CheerBear

Extra time at your gig and time alone might be the breathing space you need, even if it’s short.

Down time for littles is good. Time to smell the roses thing.

We had a big storm here yesterday. Rain, wind, thunder/lightning, the whole lot. Snuggled up with fur baby and electric blanket, nice.

The rock is bigger than two hands can hold. 😁😁😁😁 She like big rocks. Door stoppers, not paperweight material, unless you are into weight lifting. Lol.

So good the painting is so helpful. It’s calming I think. Time out from busy minds.

I guess I’m looking at failing different sometimes now. Some failures are so successful, but only to those with eyes that see. How do we measure success and failure anyway.? Trying not to compare with others. Some efforts can go unnoticed, many battles fought in silence. Sometimes there just aren’t words, and even if there were, few would understand.

Im heading to the shower, then furbaby needs to visit a tree 😁😁😁

Lots of these today. ❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜☕️☕️☕️☕️
