Super @Maggie 😊

How are you going this morning and how was your yesterday?

Re: Taking the plunge

A bit dark today, but I’ll get over myself.....eventually.😩😩😩

I kind of made the rally, just didn’t become part of the group. A good turn out globally, so good to see.

How are you doing? Is it school holidays now, or are they soon.?

Re: Taking the plunge

Its pretty huge that you made the rally @Maggie ❤ It's OK to sit with dark (though I get it doesn't always feel like that).

I'm OKish/enough thanks. Not the best last couple of days but today has started well enough. I did something nice for me yesterday before school was out as, yep, school holidays have now started. I am looking forward to some of it but they're tricky too. Yesterday I had to get new glasses which stressed me out so badly I went for a massage to stop a huge anxiety meltdown at the optometrist. I rarely do the massage thing but thought it was a nice me time thing before the next couple of weeks.

I think I read that you have painting planned today? How are you feeling about that?

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear So pleased to read you had a massage before optometrist yesterday. I do the huge meltdown with any appointment, so I totally get that. New glasses will be good when you get them also, if you don’t mind wearing them that is, but mostly no choose there.

Yes tricky with holidays is so true, specially with little or no support.

Are you visiting unwell person this weekend? No need to answer if you don’t want to.

Yes painting this afternoon and I really don’t want to go, but I just can’t / won’t let her down. And usually I push past my own yukky for a little bit. So I will be heading out at 2pm. 😩😩😩

Re: Taking the plunge

I really like wearing glasses @Maggie as seeing clearly is good lol, but I do not like choosing them at all. It seems like such a big decision. And in a shop with flouro lights, lots of mirrors, lots of people, lots of choices, lots of noises it's a struggle. I found a very cool pair though and was a bit brave and added some colour to my look. I'll get them in a week or two and will then see if I made a terrible decision haha. Either way I am looking forward to a stronger and better prescription.

We are here visiting at the moment (the big pause between my posts was for a hello with well person and some puppies). Unwell person is having a good run this week which is awesome. We had a lovely night with others here too. Super thankful for those good times.

It's so hard when you're in a dark place and you don't want to let anyone down. Is it helpful for you to push past your own yuck for a while to do things like that? I'm in two minds about whether that's helpful for me. I think most of the time it probably is, but it's big time tiring and tricky.

Re: Taking the plunge

Big 😁😁 with the glasses @CheerBear I have all those bigs everywhere. Lights, choices, noise, not the mirrors though, always avoid them unless they just appear unannounced.

Oh, visiting I Hope is good, big ohh and ahh to the puppies. 😁😁

As for pushing past the yukkies, it’s not always helpful, as my fine takes so much energy when I’m so not fine. But my protection kicks in. Strange that one, but letting her down, gives my not fine away. 😩😩😩 OMG I’m so very weird I know, but in my complex world, I seem to make sense of it all. 😇😇😇😇 If you understand that.

Re: Taking the plunge

The puppies are bonkers @Maggie! They're big puppies (almost not puppies anymore) and Are learning how to play nicely with each other so it can get quite intense. 2/3 of my crew want us to bring a dog into our circus so badly, but I'm so unsure. Lots, lots more work for me as well plus the expense as well as the worry about upsetting the balance with our cats and with the dogs we have here already. I don't know 😏

I don't think you're weird as it all makes sense to me. But I'm weird so maybe we're just weird together 😉 I think it is complex and it is very tricky to live with complex ❤. It does take so much to be fine when you're not fine.

Re: Taking the plunge

@CheerBear I understand the tough decisions regarding adding to your circus. It is expensive, time consuming and can be stressful. It’s a long term commitment with advantages and disadvantages. Must be hard went 2/3 want to add to your family. Definitely worth taking it slowly and talking things through.

The consequences of admitting I’m not fine out weight the masks of fine ness. People judge from lack of understanding, and my body is kind of ok ish, so, and gossip causes pain, frustration, fear and anger, so a few hours of fine/ not fine painting looks a wiser choice at the end of the day.

I have a lounge filled with one box I opened yesterday looking for a needed to sew in the ends of my crochet. My craft box has to be the biggest box, filled with smaller boxes. I just knew that needed was in the haystack. But it wasn’t. It was in my sewing machine stuff, obviously. So I’m off to repackage, reclaim my very small lounge room.

So good to hear unwell person had a good week. Hope your day goes well. Will you be staying longer because of holidays?

Catch you later. 😍😍
