@Zoe7, not so. Much before, but I count backwards from. 100.while picturing the numbers.in my head. Done that since high school and. Works.for.me.pretty good.

@Faith-and-Hope, that sounds good. To. Me. 👍👍

I hardly see any family now. Eldest nephew has. A. Girlfriend now. And seems. MIA lol

@Former-Member dolphin Had baked dinner with parents,. English style lol. Don't miss having those for Xmas and in summer time. My mum persisted.for a long time, but now it's a seafood and salads.

I often try and catch the prawns myself when they are about.. 👀🐝🦐

I could not find my bee before lol

Re: Taking the plunge

Either online browsing or go to a couple of shops and compare. Yes, they are expensive. Probably around $1000.

I love chops.

Glad you’re feeling a bit better. Hopefully a good sleep and you’ll feel even better tomorrow. I hope so @Zoe7

I hope you get a good sleep tonight too @Gazza75

I’m guessing @Maggie @is watching home and away. A bit full on lately re Irene.

Re: Taking the plunge

It is good you have something that works for you @Gazza75

We still have a roast lunch for Christmas lunch. I don't eat any shellfish and only a few types of fish so a seafood lunch is pretty much out for me. We do share the cooking though - my parents, sister and I all cook one type of meat and then we take it in turns each year to do the rest. It makes Christmas much easier that way. Every few years my sister's partner's family come down as well and that is always a nice day. We have also flown to Melbourne before to their place for the day - it was a long day but enjoyable as well.

Re: Taking the plunge

Haven't watched Home and Away for years @Former-Member @Maggie Got bored with it - it became too far fetched for me so stopped watching. There is not much I really watch religiously though.

I hope after a good night's sleep I feel even better tomorrow as well. I was contemplating having tomorrow off as well but I have so much to get done with the kids that I will run out of time if I am not there tomorrow. It is going to be sad to finish up with this class - they are gorgeous kids and I have thoroughly enjoyed taking them this term.

Fridges are certainly not cheap Hon - hope you can get a special on one you want to save you a little

Re: Taking the plunge

@Zoe7 that sounds lovely. Last Xmas was very awkward for.me.with sister in law. Nothing has really changed on that front. Was a bit heart breaking watching my brother and how she looks after him.

@Former-Member could you buy fridge online and have it delivered? Would that be easier for you?

@Faith-and-Hope What are you having for dinner tonight? Would love some of those pancakes that @Former-Member is having - yummy!

Re: Taking the plunge

That would be really hard @Gazza75 We used to have Christmas at our Nan and Pop's every year and for a long time after they passed it was really hard to enjoy the day - we really just went through the motions but having more people around the last few years has been really nice. It feels more like the family lunches we used to have - but with less arguing lol
