Re: Taking the plunge
Lol @CheerBear sounds coming out of butts.😂😂👍👍 I do that myself, only when alone of course.
So pleased for Big, and you. Pockets of normality. Two extra under double digits, oh @CheerBear you are brave.
Wish I could join your circus, mine isn’t too funny. I’m in my numb, avoidance mode mostly, then panic mode. Somewhere in the middle would be nice.
Do you still sit under the tree when warm enough.? Nice image in my head atm.
You might not get back to a reply, so 👍👍👍 sending my bestest thoughts your way for more pockets of positives, no matter what they look like. 💕💜💕💜💕💜💕💜🌸🌸🌹

Re: Taking the plunge
I get the numb, avoidance, then panic mode. It's super tough but so understandable given you're going through what you are. I honestly can't think of much of a bigger stress than housing. It's disgusting that it's so hard for so many here in our country of so much to share. Sitting with you, feeling with you and wishing it was different.
The circus would love to have you. Real life cuppas and craft together sounds pretty great 🧡
I still sit under the tree sometimes and will do more of it as the weather gets nicer. It's about to be beautiful here, with all of the fruit trees having flowers on them. Pink and white galore 🌸🌳😊
I'd better get moving and ready to do the dropping off and picking up thing. We're heading to parents later. Palliative team referral happened the other day (that's a drop and run one).
So much enjoy our chats over coffee in the sunrise hours. I hope there is better in the day ahead for you 🦄

@Maggie Love that tea pot too Hon
It sucks you had a difficult night but lets hope your efforts bring you closer to a new home for you ![]()
No doubt you have headed off already @CheerBear so hope you have some light in your day as well as the tricky with family. I did have a giggle at the butt sounds coming from the LF ![]()
@Former-Member I used to love going to the footy. We used to follow our local team all around the state - rain, hail or shine. We often went on the supporters bus so it was a long day but a lot of fun. We would stop somewhere for dinner on the way back from the longer trips and then head back to the clubrooms when we got back into all hours of the night. I was of course much younger then and they were things I enjoyed - now I would have no interest doing any of that.
I know what you mean about live games and seeing more of what is going on on the field - particularly with AFL. I did like to go to the games but now am more than happy to watch them at home. I do not like being away from my fur babies. The several days I spent in Sydney a couple of years ago I really missed them - and it was probably not a great time for me to be away as I really was not well enough. I did get to see Liverpool play though so that was a silver lining. The day after I arrived there I wanted to come home but I had some wonderful support from SANE and managed to stay for the 5 days. I also got to see Vivid and do want to go back to see it again - it really is magical the way the city lights up throughout that time. Have you been to Vivid?
Great news overnight with the cricket hey - looks like we could win the test now and therefore The Ashes - fingers crossed 🤞
Hope you have a good day today Hon - I am going to start cutting the fence palings so I can have tomorrow off to do planning and then relax and watch my boys play in the afternoon. Not sure when your Swans play but hope they can end the season with a win for you. Hugs and hugs ![]()

Oh dear @Maggie .. sorry its been such a rough night for you. You have a lot to be worried about, of course. And its no use telling you not to worry. A safe place to reside is one of lifes essentials, along with food and water. You have every reason to be concerned about a lack of housing. I hope your overnnight emails result in some action somewhere along the line. Soon would be good. Meanwhile I am sending you love and a hug. 💕🤗
Hi @CheerBear I enjoyed reading your posts here this morning, always a pleasure having you around. Hope your day is good.
@Former-Member sending love, kindness and understanding your way. I hope things seem a little less overwhelming today than yesterday.
@Zoe7 ... yes I agree, I much prefer to stay at home and watch sport these days. Its a long way for us to get to any of the sporting events now too, and hubby unwell, I wouldnt go on my own. I think those days of live sport are now gone for me too. Totally get the bit about not wanting to leave the furbabies behind. Its hard enough leaving Holly behind for necessities like Mums funeral and fixing things up with Dad recently, etc. But its been nice to reminisce about all the past sporting events like we did last night. Happy memories for a change. No ... I have never been to Vivid, but would like to.
Yes the cricket was very eventful overnight. I stayed up until the Poms were all out, which was only half an hour after the lunch break. So it was nice to wake up this morning and see that the Aussies have done comparatively better than the Poms, and have a substantial lead with still a few wickets remaining. I think they will push on and get as many runs as they can tonight and them hope they can roll the Pommies for another measley score. And its only 2 days down. There will definitely be a result, and looking confidently like an Aussie victory. @Gazza75 did you watch any of the cricket too?
Take care cutting up the fence palings, although I do know you are very handy when it comes to tools and handyman stuff.
My Swans play today @Zoe7 at 1.45pm, and yes I too hope they can finish with a big win. Perhaps you will get to watch it with me, if you get those palings done nice and early?
Have a decent day everyone. The weather here is beautiful today incidentally. And come Monday and Tuesday, they are predicting some much needed rain. I have envied your mention of rain down there in Tassie @Zoe7 @Maggie , seems you've had enough, and we need some. So bring it on.

Re: Taking the plunge
I have sorted all the palings into groups according to thickness and suitability already @Former-Member My back was aching a little though so having a rest before I start measuring and citting them. Once I have the first few done I can use them as templates for the remaining ones so that will take less time to do. I have a few hours before your game so will probably do as much as I can in a couple of hours and then take a break from it to get some lunch and watch the game with you.
Happy to send the rain your way Hon - we have had quite a bit this year - great for the garden but not great for getting things done outside. I do wish you and others that needed it would get some rain - especially for the farmers in this horrible drought around the country ![]()
There is definitely going to be a result in the cricket and leaning very much Australia's way with the way England batted last night ...and without Steve Smith bailing us out too
Labuschange has been a great replacement for him so far though!
I totally get how much leaving Holly for those necessary trips is - I miss Toby even when I am at work - so used to having him around all the time for the last few years. I know he sleeps most of the time though and then he is so happy to see me when I get home - that always makes me smile. Gotta love the love of our fur babies ![]()

It is getting there @Maggie Just need to set everything up in the garage and I can start cutting. Enjoy your art today with the 86 year old - I think it is fabulous that you are not only giving your time but also getting something out of her enthusiasm as well ![]()
