Re: Taking the plunge

Much the same. Thanks for asking though @Gazza75

How’s your day going?

🥰

I managed to do a food shop. That was super stressful today. More so than usual. My body has really become run down.

Need to find a way out of this torture.

Enough of me. 😳🤔😩

Thanks for sitting with me. @Maggie @Zoe7 @CheerBear @Shaz51 etc

Thinking of you all.

💜💖🌷🌸💐🌻🌼☕️

Had my hair cut and foiled blonde this week. That was a help.

Hoping everyones day is ok.

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @Former-Member your welcome and thanks for asking about Me. I'm at my farm for a few days so I'm pretty happy. Nice to get away from the world for a few days and emjopy the peace, quiet and sunshine for a while. I'm just listening to some footy. I don't enjoy it quite as much as I used to.

Getting your hair done sounds nice. Glad you got the shopping out of the way. Maybe you can look at getting it delivered if that might be easier for you? Not sure if you can, but, perhaps you can consider it in the future. Do you have a friend that could help you with it?

We're all happy to sit and be with you if you need us Mumi. Please try and eat well and keep an eye on your sleep. I know it's not easy when your juggling other things and have stuff on your mind. I feel run down by the end of most weeks and I struggle to do a lot of things.

Take care 🙂

Being on your farm sounds nice @Gazza75

How much land? Any animals? Growing anything? Lots of questions. 😀

I have almost an acre. Not a farm, but plenty of yard. I’m not a gardener. So would like to move when I feel better.

I like to choose my own fruit, veggies etc, so need to shop myself.

No friends at present. I did reconnect with someone this week, but don’t feel up to going out for lunch, coffee just now.

If I keep away from alcohol when I become overwhelmed, I’ll have a chance of recovering.

I gave up drinking for years. Only recently started to drink when everything became too much.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member I’m pleased you got you hair done. I know it’s a small win, but it’s a win. Shopping has always been a big stress for me, so you are definitely not alone there.

All you can do, is what you can do, no matter how small it is. Trying to stay away from alcohol is huge @Former-Member, especially under so much stress, so good on you for trying.

I’ve been doing some dotting with an elderly neighbour this afternoon, it passed away a few hours.

I hope your evening has small moments somewhere for you. Sitting with you. 💜💕💜☕️☕️☕️

@Gazza75 Time at the farm sounds good, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

I hope you can recharge your batteries for the coming week, not easy.

I’ m sitting with my fur baby, my favourite place in the world. At least it’s slightly warmer now after a frosty start.

Enjoy your evening.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member, i've 180 acres. I don't have any animals right now. I had to sell my cattle to a neighbour as I run out of tucker for them because of the drought. I've had sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and alpaccas previously. I used to have a pretty decent veggie garden, but, i couldn't keep up with it after I got the cattle.

I still have cattle visiting my place, some of my old ones are scratching around outside now. They are minatures, dexters, most of them only come up to my waist and I'm only 5'10. I've had a hard time being motivated and maintaining things since my mental illness in the last 15 months or so.

I'm also considering moving and getting something else. I need to be closer to my parents as my brother can no longer keep an eye on them like he used to. We don't have any other family in Australia to support them.

I'm glad you reconnected with a friend lately. That's really good. I haven't drank for a long time, mainly because it knocks me around to much phsycially and I dont' enjoy it like I did when I was younger and more social. I hope talking on here helps you if you do feel overwhelmed. Its good that you recognise this.

I try and stay busy, working on some new hobbies so my mind doesn't get bogged down in the past and negativity. It's hard to let things go for Me.

Do you want to move into a smaller place with less space to look after? It's ncie to chat with you 🙂

@Gazza75, do you mind me asking your age , It is ok if yo don`t want to say

are your parents in their own home ?? sorry about all the questions

for you to have a smaller place and closer to your parents sounds good

I inherited my father`s house which is on a bit of a hill , in the near future we know we will have to sell and it get`s harder to keep it tidy

@Former-Member, I am soo proud of what you have done today and hhow nice to get your hair done xxx

Re: Taking the plunge

Wow! That’s a lot of land @Gazza75 Sorry to hear that you had to get rid of your cattle and other animals. I understand that it would have been hard for you, but a lot of work for you as well.

Its difficult when health issues take over life.

I would be happy with a small apartment with a few flower pots.

Selling and moving is too much for me to think about. I wish it was easy. If someone could do it for me, that would be great. I’d move tomorrow. I’d actually love to move to another country. Away from family. Here’s hoping for better health for us, so we can sell and move.

I’m glad you had company today @Maggie sounds lovely that you did some craft (I think that’s what you mean?).

Nice to see you there @Shaz51

Has your day been ok?

It means a lot to me to have my hair done. I hate it when it’s not foiled and cut nicely.

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Yes, I’ve been teaching a neighbour to do dotting. She’s 86, and thought she had no creative talents at all. How wrong she was.

It’s the only time I do anything here, I skirt around people trying to avoid conversation.

I wish you could move @Former-Member . Somewhere smaller sounds more manageable. I can understand not wanting anymore pressure atm. 💜💕
