Being a mum is hard. I sometimes need to be alone. I know d is unwell. But it’s hard @Zoe7 @Maggie

Re: Taking the plunge

Being a mum is the hardest job in the world @Former-Member regardless of what you are feeling right now, you are a good mum.

Re: Taking the plunge

I totally agree with @Maggie here @Former-Member - you are a great mum but you do need some time to yourself as well. No-one can be there 100% of the time for anyone Hon. You do need time to do things for yourself and have respite from all that is going on for you. It is so hard for you right now so take a little time for yourself - your D should understand as she is a bright girl and can surely understand just how hard it is for you - especially with the latest upsets with your Mum

Re: Taking the plunge

You are not a burden at all @Former-Member We are here with you becausem we want to be - and to support you in any way we can Hon. You may not think this person is right for your D but that is her choice - she needs to be able to make mistakes along the way and you can only support her through that. Take this time for yourself - I know you will worry about D but she is doing something that she wants to do and will be okay. Now to look after yourself Hon

Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Maybe this is a bit of alone time for you to do something you would like to do. Or just time out from being a mum. You are not a burden, not at all. As @Zoe7 said, you are a decent human being. You are hurting deeply right now, pain is never easy, never.
