Re: Taking the plunge

@Former-Member Thank you for the compliment on my mug which is now my HBP's. (Husband/Boyfriend Person.) I'm trying to get along well here so I'm curious as to how much information we can share. Can I let people know where I live? Not my hometown but the contient etc. I will start to read the getting started page again. I get a panic well I get panicky whenever I start to read it. I've tried to read it fully a couple of times. Thinking about it now makes me feel anxious. I see that you're a Senior Contributor so I THINK that it's okay to ask you but I'm not sure. 😕 Please don't feel pressured I know that if it was me I would. Being a Senior Contributor is wonderful even though I'm not sure what that means exactly either. I'll get to the info page and um let you know what I've learned and now I'm not making much sense. So... Bye! 🙂 Hugs and thanks for the like on the mug and Hugs and Bugs... @ Well I can't remember the name. Darn. 😕 Oh well! Life's a learning curve right? Right! Peace agian and some more. PatchouliRose. 🙂

Re: Taking the plunge

Goosebumpy teary at your words and picture @Maggie, thank you. Wishing you best for your appointments today ❤

Love the pictures @PatchouliRose 😊 And hearing that attitude change is helping you -that's awesome! It's great to hear you're finding the forum helpful. It can be a bit tricky sometimes to settle in (because its so big and there are so many different things happening sometimes maybe) but it is a pretty caring and understanding community. I think you're doing great at it, for what that's worth ☺

Thanks for the hi @Former-Member. I hope you have a day with good in it 😊

Re: Taking the plunge

Hi @PatchouliRose

Limited time right now, but wanted to respond quickly before I head out.

Yes, I am a Senior Contributor, and been around off and on since about October 2016, if memory serves me right. All that title means is that you have clocked up a certain number of posts on the forums. Its only around 20 or so I think.

As for saying where you're at - we are not meant to say anything which may allow us to be identified by anyone reading the forum who might know us in real life. And nor are we meant to say anything which would allow anybody to look us up and obtain our real name, address or contact details. So no names or addresses are permitted. We are able to say what State we are in however. I am in NSW, which is a large state and does not tell anybody anything from which they could identify me. I can also say that I am on the Mid North Coast, which again is a very large area within NSW. So gives nothing away. I cannot tell the town I live near however, because it is only a small village with very few people. For me to name the village could allow someone reading to identify me. However, if someone lives in one of the major cities within Australia, such as Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, etc then there would be no problem in someone saying that here.

So after saying all of that, I think its safe to say that you can say what continent or country you are from. Perhaps one of the Community Guides can advise further however. They are specially appointed people on the forums who help the rest of us members out, and help to welcome new members and show them around.

Hope that helps. Must go. Thanks @CheerBear

Sherry

Re: Taking the plunge

My doorbell rang on Wednesday, standing there was the lady who 10 mths ago told me to get fucked because I had politely said slamming her phone down in my ear was rude, just because I couldn't see her right there and then the previous day. It's left me all over the place as this is how I always end up being treated. Like being insulted isn't enough, but just arriving, expecting that it's ok. I froze, as I always do, but I was looking after someone's dog, so I was busy, that was all I could drag out of myself. I know if anyone reads this the response will be she was wrong, I do know that, it's just left me literally hanging, feeling like some sort of unwanted alien being, not deserving of the basic human kindness.

I had listened to this lady for hours and hours, then some more hours. It's just not an isolated incident for me, people seem to enjoy hurting, controlling. I hate confrontation of any sort. I also hate hurting anyone. I'm the local dump sometimes, the door mat, just wipe your feet and it's ok.

Im back being the little girl who listened endlessly to her mother. Never allowed to speak, just listen. No wonder words are hard to come by often.

To anyone listening, Thankyou. You can always speak...always.
