Re: Taking the plunge
@TAB Do you use Epsom salts ? It’s good for aches. I can’t get into a bath any longer. Hope it helps.
Heading back to the kettle and coffee here. ☕️☕️☕️

@Maggie it's good to get your reply 🙂 I'm really sorry it's been so tough for you lately. I am guessing that actually it's always tough, and when you say it's been tough, you mean extra bad?
Thanks for noticing when I'm quiet...I've had some depression - not severe, so nothing to worry about. Am feeling quite a bit stronger today 🙂 Plus we're in for a few sunny days, which helps 🙂
I'm impressed you plan on using a stud finder and hanging the TV on the wall! I'm not 'handy' at all, so that would be way beyond my imaginings.
@Maggie wrote:I have asked Mr Christian not to call any more. Trying to deal with a wound that’s not healing. We are on different pages. I guess it’s just somewhere else I don’t fit.
That might have been hard to do? Well done...although I'm sorry you feel that it's somewhere else you don't fit. Maybe it's him not fitting?
I always think of you when I'm not posting much...even though I have hardly anything to give at those times, I am following along, and wishing the best for you. I really hope this latest tough phase eases for you soon, so you get some relief, dear @Maggie ![]()
Edited to add: You're on page 1000! Yes, I know, small things amuse small minds, lol... 😄

Re: Taking the plunge
I’ve been waiting for that 1000 to tick over @NatureLover , so two small amused minds today. 😂😂😂
Sorry the black dog has been biting at your heels. But good today is looking better. A beautiful day here also. I’ve been out in the garden for a bit. Birds are chirping. It’s lovely.
I just can’t see things from the same view as Mr Christian, or any other it seems now. I honestly don’t know where I fit on the spiritual spectrum anymore. At the moment, I don’t want to, it’s all to hard and confusing. I’ve had a go at God, so I thinks he’s ducking for cover with me too. 😬😬😬😈😈😇😇

Re: Taking the plunge
@TAB Unfortunately, most relief is temporary I find. But managing some sleep is always a plus.

If you don't mind reading the thoughts of someone who still believes in God but doesn't follow any more (just ignore if not)...I think God needs people who think outside the box /are outside the church. By this I mean loving gay people, mentally ill people, disabled people, anyone who doesn't 'fit'. And God's work is supposedly loving people, right? Which you do beautifully. I can't think of any more worthy work than loving damaged people, and there are an awful lot of damaged people on these forums (I include myself in that).

Dear @Maggie
Hearing you about wondering where we fit and spirituality. You def fit here.
I dont expect everyone to agree with me, and am tending to see those with strong views that they demand others agree with them, as "not my type". Especially around religion. There is so much confusion about dogmatism, belief and levels of conviction. We often like to feel part of something bigger or be "in accordance" with those in our lives, but sometimes, we simply cannot agree. Maybe we can loosen up on the degree of fit. Gently hold that you are worthy, my friend. Its not like in the old days when we had to carefully tailor clothes. Stretch fabrics and loose flowing robes can help ...
Hugs

Re: Taking the plunge
That was the clencher for me @NatureLover . Mr Christian said he wouldn’t baptise gay people unless the walked away from their life style . I just can’t agree at all. The God I think I know is inclusive, and as you have said, loving.
Thankyou. Your words are powerful and sincere. ❤️❤️
