The Community Garden :)

The Community Garden :)

Being outside and enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers that are about is definitely something that's keeping me going at the moment, so I thought it might be nice to grow our own garden here where we can all enjoy it.

Please add any pictures, links, chats about anything you're enjoying in your garden, have found on a walk, wish you had in your garden etc. Or just enjoy wandering around 🙂

Thanks @Maggie. Still waiting for the picture to come through, so will check back again later.

Meanwhile I'll add a very productive vege patch to the Community Garden. Nothing better than picking fresh veges straight out of your garden and using them immediately. Plenty of healthy nutritious goodies here for everyone.

Re: The Community Garden :)

Ahhh, the pic has finally appeared @Maggie! Yes thats lovely. I could definitely see myself finding a nice shady spot in there somewhere and enjoying a few moments peace and quiet. Love the lavendar too. It would be my pleasure to have you there alongside me Maggie. Sitting there together in unspoken mutual support of each other would be lovely. I think my Holly and your Maggie May might enjoy a bit of exploring in this spot as well. Could even be some rabbits up the back there.

Here's some pictures of our community garden after the sun goes down and the moon comes out. We have a super moon and blue moon coming up on Wednesday I believe.

Thanks xx

Sherry

Lovely @Faith-and-Hope 😊

This was where and who I spent my morning coffee with this morning.

There were a few of them out there today. They've moved from the apricots to the nectarines (I think we have enough to share) ☺

Have to wait for the image @CheerBear ....

I love hearing about the fruit trees ..... my grandparents had them in their garden in Adelaide .....

They're so nice all year around @Faith-and-Hope ☺ It's definitely what I like most about being in this house.

Hope your day is going ok

Re: The Community Garden :)

Sort of @CheerBear ..... daughter launched at uni 👍 ...... son curled up in a ball sleeping on the lounge with Do Not Disturb headphones shoved in .... 👎 .... but mr has printed off all his uni docs to try to sort a Plan C and has found that Plan B is registered as “under assessment” .... so it might not be off the table yet .... 😳🤞

I don’t have a garden here, so my mind is turning over ways I might be able to fake one ..... and that might involve learning how to mosaic flower pots .....

Re: The Community Garden :)

Bit of a mixed day for you maybe @Faith-and-Hope. Crossing fingers with you.

Love the pots ☺ I can imagine that being something you'd enjoy doing. There are some awesome vertical garden ideas made from pallets too.

Re: The Community Garden :)

My Dad loved to grow fruit and veges @CheerBear. When the house was sold, the land was subdivided and all the trees were gone. It would have broken his heart to know that. I recall picking beans and tomatoes and all manner of citrus fruit from the yard.

I don't have a decent garden either @Faith-and-Hope. I hope to get some pots one day soon and start with some herbs and maybe some little lettuce and cherry tomatoes.

Hope those uni submissions bear fruit for S2.
