Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Hi Soul, how are you? I'm ok'ish ta. Cough is back but temp still down, also had a couple of good conversations with family this week which helps (son, cousin & even mum&dad).

DECLUTTERED, sorted front verandah yesterday (a lottle) and put spare table & chairs out there on display 4sale (see photo for surprise capture of resident possom). Bit of cleaning there on veranda. Found some lost fav music cassettes - so need to clean them up.

REAL ESTATE Agent rang yesterday - has another promising buyer to view tomorrow, so its 'clean up mode' again kinda. Still OK from last time, just touchups needed I guess, and new ground if I have energy, (so many 1/2 finished projects here).

Bit nervous if this buyer makes a serious offer and all that entails, if I'm up to it etc (probably never a good time). But especially concerned about having offered my son his room back if he becomes homeless with recent redundancy & broken arm.

Haven't concerned my son with my plans to sell the family home yet, think it will stress him on top of an already bad time for him (and he battles underlying anxiety / depression since his sister died). Figured it didnt matter if no serious buyers. Should i tell him? I know he wants me to stay re memories.. Do I not sell YET because of his circumstance? The mum part of me loves that I might still have something to offer him here, even though it would be a last resort for him (backward step) with building up his business and loves big smoke and his mates there. I don't know. Sometimes its just a step of faith.

.Hope all of you, my forum besties, have a lovely day. Beautiful here this morning. HUGZZ ❤❤❤

@ Darcy. @ Dec. @ Faith-and-Hope @ 1stepup61 and anyone around. Just realised didn't post properly sorting that. Thanks for your lovely messages. 💜💕

Bit teary today for no particular reason.

Good morning @Former-Member @soul @1stepup @Shaz51

Off the blocks 1step ... Bin out, fridge clean woo hoo

Have you worked out which shelf you are going to make a start on Shaz?

Good to hear you are starting to pick up a bit Lapses. Is the countdown on for your garage sale?

@soul hope you have a good day

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Great start @Former-Member. My fridge could do with a bit of a clean out although I did wash out the vege crisper last week.

Was going to wash all the throw rugs today but it's quite cloudy. Shall do that tomorrow. All the dog's bedding got a wash yesterday.

Cool giraffe @Former-Member. I love homes with verandas. Wish I had one.

Wow @Former-Member

I love that verandah and I want that giraffe - I love giraffe/s (what's the plural?)

That is so much work that you have done - yes - and when is your garage sale - that is one way of de-cluttering - I sold a lot of my extra stuff at a market stall years ago - and that was fun

All the best with that and good points for all the hard work

How are you feeling? - I hope you have spaced the work out a bit. But how are the achey-painies? Your back has to been paying up with all the extra effort. I hope it;s okay and that you are okay

Good job @soul, it is @1stepup with the clean fridge not me.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Hey @Former-Member .... 💕

Maybe venture forward with that with your son ..... like .... "I'm sorta thinking of selling the house ...... packing all the memories I can take with me and moving to a smaller place ..... maybe in another town where the people don't know my history and are friendlier .... just a thought ....."

See what sort of reaction you get.

How does that sound ?

Dear Dear @Former-Member

SO good you are getting all this done.

Good Luck with decisions re house. Always a biggie.

I am having similar/different convos with my son. He was a little intense yesterday about us selling our house quickly due to climate change, but still leaving lights on and not doing stuff.

Hi @soul @Owlunar @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope

Hope our path today has satisfaction and moments of love.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Hey @Former-Member - I guess each time there is a potential buyer in the wings, it brings up those feelings of hesitancy. Am I doing the right thing? Often we feel comfortable with the things we know and feel apprehensive about what lies ahead.

You made this decision for some very valid reasons. Perhaps you should look at those reasons again and judge whether they are still relevant. Nothing is certain until documents are signed and exchanged.

At the very least, you are tidying up so that's been a huge benefit. Maybe that in itself is making you think that you could perhaps stay.

So many mixed emotions including how your son may feel. Looks like he has well and truly moved on. Could you visit him sometimes?

It does pull at the heartstrings all the same. Thinking of you.
